Is it true that you can feed animals (dolphins, eels, ect) at Sea World. How do you know where to go and what time to be there to get to do that. My kids would LOVE that...

You can feed dolphins, but that's all I'm aware of. You go to Rocky Point Preserve (look on the map) and there is a little hut that they sell fish at certain times of the day. The times will be posted on a sign. They only sell x amount of servings (to avoid over feeding) per time slot, and in the busy months the line is long before the actual opening of the hut. The dolphins are pretty active all day, and we don't even feed them. They're fun to watch either way.

You can "pet" sting rays without their stingers, star fish, and I can't remember anything else right now.

Have fun and show us your pics when you get back!

you can feed the dolphins, bat rays, and sea lions. you just go to their exhibit and there's a little shack where they sell the fish. there are certain times when it opens & there's a lot of ppl that like to get in on the action.
my favorite is feeding the bat rays bc it feels like a vaccum sucking the fish up out of your hand.

The best way to get up close and personal is to take one of the "Behind the Scenes" tours. It will cost you a little $ on top of your regular admision but on most tours you get to pet and feed the animals. If you are willing to drop big $$$ you could even swim with em. go here: http://www.seaworld.com/sandiego/experiences/default.aspx and click "Behind theScenes".

I'm not sure how true this is but I have heard from people who fed the dolphins before that birds often take the fish before the dolphins ever notice you have it.

But that would be such a worthwhile experience if you could get your kids in to feed them, especially if they like sea creatures. C:
The dolphins are pretty fun even if you don't feed them, they love to play.

Yup! Those seagulls are tricky. That's why you have to let the animals see that you have food to give them.

Haha, it just seems like something that would happen on a TV show.
I guess it has happened to a lot of people I know though!
