View Full Version : Anyone stayed in a value 1 br at AKV?

I tried the search, but got nowhere, so i figured that I would ask. DW and I leave on an 11 night trip in 8 days to an AKV value 1 br.

Just looking to see if any Disers have stayed in one.

We stayed for a week in March and loved it. The only thing I found was it was too warm even with the a/c on max. Can't imagine what it will be like in the summer. let us know.

I sure hope that the air conditioning is in better shape when we get there. Did you contact maintenance about that? Also, what kind of view did you have?

I stayed in one this past December. It was small, but very nice ;)

Our view was the parking lot though :(

Yes we did call and they said there was really nothing tey could do about it because it was a "green resort". A/c could not go any lower. As for the view we liked it alot. It was of the pool and you could see the savahana in the distance. We would definately stay there again. I have pictures of the room and the view but I'm not sure how to post them but if you send me your email addy I wil send them to you. Again, we really liked the room it was smaller than the one bedroom at SSR but it was nice. The ambience says it all.

We are here now in a 1br. Everything is great! value view with a pool/tree view - room 5024.

That is great. Have a great time! We can't wait to get there.

Let us know any additional info on the room. How is the size? Does it feel very small? How is the kitchen? WE intend to use it.

I'm pretty sure that we were also in room 5024, value 1 bedroom and it was GREAT! Very convenient location, temperature was fine, could be adjusted to our standards. We, 3 female adults, had no bad issues at all. The room actually seemed large enough, and if we go again, that's what we would book.
We were there last weekend.

There's a work island in the kitchen, and maybe that's why the kitchen feels roomy...we did not cook and only ate breakfast/snacks in the room. Did make coffee, and heated some leftovers.

My only complaint about the room is the carpet. It is very dirty. Sticky in several places and many spots! We have to move to a 2br tomorrow (I was hoping that we would just pick up the studio next door but to no avail!) and I found out that we got one of the parking lot views :( I was really bummed because I made the ressie 11 months out, day by day. Oh well...:worried:
