Hmmm, I had second thoughts about this one.

Where are people's heads at? Do they really think everybody on this board will be excited over their great discovery to save a buck at WDW? Sorry, but I can't feel sorry for someone who elects to do this to save money so they can afford a WDW wedding. If that's what it takes, then maybe you should consider eloping and doing the honeymoon at WDW at a value resort.

Scott was correct in closing it. It wouldn't have gotten anywhere. Personally, I think people like to bring up certain subjects, just to start an argument, when they know the answer they're going to get already.

Kind of like when people on the restaurant or resorts board start discussions about refillable mugs, or pool hopping -- when you know they've been around long enough to know the answers.

What if someone booked a house offsite, but also wanted to book AKL for 2 nights of their trip to take advantage of the safari thing along with 2 days of EMH that they offer only for AKL onsite guests (the sunrise safari)? What if they just checked into AKL, but never stayed overnight? Would that cause an uproar?

I tried to close it also, but my powers are useless due to kryptonite on that board.

It probably wouldn't cause as much of an uproar - because there are more AKL rooms than there are campsites. And, there are many more resorts, with more resort rooms. People who camp only have one choice for a resort. When the sites are gone, they're gone. They can't go to a different resort.

Thank you for the clarification. I had no intention of causing a stir- I admit I've been involved in stirs before, but this wasn't that case here :)

I purely wanted to know if it was seriously doable, as I didn't think it was- which a moderator said that yes it is. (whether you are opposed to it, is another issue).

Apparently others on the boards have done this or will do this in the future given some comments on the boards. To each their own I spose as I doubt I would have the guts to do it-cricket would be in my head on this one!

I must of missed it. Was this another one of those book a site for the perks and stay somewhere else questions?

Oh, I totally agree, but I was riled up and wanted a chance to respond! :lmao:
