One more starwood question?

Sorry but my questions weren't getting answered on the S/D threads.
I guess I cant do the points/cash thing because I don't get my points till may(I transfered a diff amex for the points)
Anyhow can I redeem these at all at checkin for say a free night on my existing res. or is the desk at S/D only for restr and upgrade redemption?
One more thing that didn't get answered...if I purchase a dining voucher with my points will they give cash back if I go under $25, and can this be used for purchasing the refillable mugs?

when are you going? I soke to a wonderful rep at the 800#...they let me book the rate even though the points hadn't transferred yet. I was told my account will hold the request for two weeks. This way if you call at the end of April...that gives you two weeks for your points to transfer.

As for dining coupons, I am fairly sure they would not give change. But if you use the credit at Tubbi's, you could buy the mugs with your food and add it on the bill.

Not going till june 9:{ Not sure what to do see I paid for a balcony, although I could get upgraded I was not willing to take this chance. So I don't want to lose it, but I did want to use some of my points. I'll figure something out I am sure. Thankyou
