I saw it and thought, "How awesome is that? The two best things - food and Disney!" I just knew there would be others that felt the same way. :goodvibes The only thing that could make it better is if Kevin were there to do a review!

Didn't he recently get fired from Food network for falsifying his credentials.

I know I read it more than once. They must have filmed this several months ago

Really?!? Do you remember where you read that? What did he falsify?

I think he was "suspended" or "put on leave" but not officially fired.........yet. If I remember correctly he lied on his resume, including cooking for the Queen and other high end positions that he never had.

Sorry for hijacking, but he apparently claimed and was later found to have been false: that he worked on the wedding cake of Prince Charles and Lady Di [should clarify: the main person to work on it]; was a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order; had a College Degree in Food and Nutrition from University of Leeds; and had been a White House Chef . . . you'd think he would know people would investigate those kind of comments. :confused3 BTW, I cheated and looked up his alleged falsehoods on Wikipedia. ;)

I know starting in the Fall the will have a new host for the show. I remember that he did get fired. I believe this is a rerun of a previous airing.

The new host is the winner of the next Iron Chef, Michael Symon. I just set my TIVO for next week. Things for the info. Despite his ousting I still like the showChef Symon is pretty cool. He was one of my faves from the beginning of the show.

Food Network Names New ‘Dinner: Impossible’ Host

By The New York Times (http://tvdecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/author/editor/)
The Food Network announced on Monday “that Ohio chef Michael Symon will take over as host of the ‘Dinner: Impossible’ series, which challenges its chef to prepare meals under extreme conditions,” the Associated Press reports. (http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/arts/AP-Dinner-Impossible.html)
“Symon, who won the network’s The Next Iron Chef competition in 2007 and appears on its Iron Chef America series, replaces Robert Irvine, who left last month following revelations that he’d exaggerated details of resume. Irvine had hosted the show for four seasons.”

Oh well...I liked Chef Irvine, but Michael Symon is kinda cute so that's ok with me ;)

I don't think this is a reair. I believe it is a new episode. I think you'll find they shot all this seasons episodes before Robert Irvine was fired and they elected to run them anyways.

I'm glad to hear Mike Symon is the replacment. I really like him.

Who's everyone cheering on in the "Next Food Network Star" competition. I like Kelsey and Aaron.

How disappointing :( I really like Chef Irvine.

I hope Chenf Simon does a good job, I haven't seen a lot of him on ICA yet.

...we'll see I guess...

It won't be the same with Irvine!!!

I like Chef Irvine. I was pretty surprised to hear a few months ago about the entire ordeal dealing with his resume.

I'm not a huge fan of Chef Symon. I was pulling for Chef Besh on "Next Iron Chef." Granted, I've never eaten in either of their restaurants (however, my parents ate at Chef Besh's in New Orleans), but I liked Chef Besh's personality and cooking style way more.

As for "Next Food Network Star," I'm liking Kelsey and Lisa. I really didn't like Lisa at first, but she's growing on me. Aaron is also growing on me, if he would open up more. And if Adam would quit with his "comedy routine," he would be OK. I'm just glad Nipa is gone. I mean...really??? A mixture of salt and cayenne pepper for a food product line??? Come on...

But I digress..:rolleyes1

thanks for clearing all that dinner impossible stuff up you guys. My dh and I were talking the other day about it and wonder if he was really going to be fired or if FN decided to just keep him because all of these new episodes are still coming out.. then again, they film them ahead of time and I guess they figured they might as well show them if they have them. I don't really mind if a new person comes on or not because I'm not all that into the show. I'll watch it if it happens to be on .. but I don't make a point to see it.

Now, next food network star on the other hand.. I do try to watch if I can. I really like Adam (as long as he's not too :goofy: ) and I think Kelsey is going to win. It really bothered me how they said she seemed "fake" and was too upbeat. I mean, hello?!? :headache: have they watched Rachael Ray? lol. But then again that could work against Kelsey, by already having one perky woman on food network.

I'm rooting for Kelsey or Aaron. Aaron's food seems really creative and he is so down to earth!

Hey guys, be sure to stay tuned after "Next Food Network Star" next week (June 6) to watch "How'd That Get On My Plate?" I have selfish reasons for it, as I work on the show. But we can use all the ratings we can get :happytv:

As far as "FN Star"...I never actually watch the network...ummmmmm...:duck:

I seen the preview for that and it looks like a pretty good show so I was planning on watching. You can count me as a viewer.

Also not sure if you have any contacts at the Food Network, if you do, you should pass along to them that they should do more shows on Disney Dining. With all the different resturants, cheifs, Food & Wine Festivel, Dining Plan, heck even the food porn thread and reviwes on here they could have endless possibilities instead of reruning a 5 year old (and outdated) unwrapped.

For what it's worth...I agree too. I worked on a FN Challenge that we did at WDW. They are a little strict to work with...hard to imagine, no? Actually, I think that the folks here at my office probably just roll their eyes whenever I try to bring up Disney ideas. They probably think I am just angling for a free trip (and they're right). By the way, I don't work for the actual network. It's a production company that the network contracts. Thanks for watching.

Does anybody know what venue the dinner was served in and where the kitchen that they cooked in was?
