We are planning an august trip with our dd 4 and dd 1. We are trying to decide between staying at the Caribbean Beach or the Wilderness Lodge. The price difference is only about $40 more a night. Is it worth the extra $ to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. From the information I can gather the room size is the same at both--is this accurate. Also the price between the garden wing at the Contemporary and the standard view at the Wilderness Lodge are almost identical. Between those two is the wilderness lodge a better choice? Thanks!

:D :D I can tell you what we thought of the CRB this past Dec. We loved it and had a great time. Very tropical and we loved the quite pools that each village had. The main pool was also nice and our DD loved the waterslide and water cannons. The food court was very good and the bus service was also good. We never waited more than 10 minutes to go anywhere. Not sure about WL,but the we are going to try and stay there for 2 nights before the Cruise in FEB 2003. I just want something close to MK for that trip since that is the only park we will visit before heading to the pier. CRB also had playgrounds and a white sand beach.
I am sure you will enjoy your trip no matter which place you stay.

I have stayed at the Caribbean beach and liked it very much. But now that we have kids we do like to be in a Magic Kingdom resort. We spend most of our time there and it's nice to just hop on a boat and get back to the room by lunchtime for naps. We find that if we have to get the kids out of a park and into a car to return to the resort that they fall asleep in the car and the nap is shot for the day. Just something to think about.

The WL beats a Contemporary wing any day in my view. While all DIsney hotels are fun, make sure you compare apples to apples.

The WL is a Deluxe hotel (queen sized bed, indoor hallways, central air conditioning, room -service, several sit down restaurants.)

The CBR is a Moderate hotel (double beds, maybe outdoor hallways or window unit air conditioning, smaller room size).
