We're going to WDW in December. To save money, and to try to keep me 'on track'- I'm thinking that we only eat 1 TS, and maybe a snack in the parks, and bring everything else from home. NOW- we're flying and using DME (no car to take us to Walmart or Publix :scared1:, and no fridge in the room) so everything I want to take will have to come with me in the suitcase or in the carryon. Any suggestions of what to bring? This is what I'm thinking--

-Reduced calorie bread, 2 slices per zip top bag (pre-packed so I'm not bringing a whole loaf of bread :lmao: )
-Peanut Butter
-Grapes/Apples
-Pre-measured Fiber One Cereal
-Fiber One breakfast bars
-Almond Milk
-Pre-measured quaker oatmeal (with cinnomen added)
-Pre-popped 94% fat free popcorn
-Bottles of water

Probably going to bring a small suitcase JUST for food- packed in plastic bags to prevent as much squishing as possible....

We're only going to be there 3 full days, and 2 half days (travel days)

Anything else I should take that I'm forgetting? It looks like we're good for breakfast, but lunches are looking kinda....dull.... I'm VERY open to suggestions!! :duck:

I know that almonds are not cheap, but I like to measure out portions of almonds into closeable snack bags and have them if I'm feeling the urge.

You can use the microwave in the food court, so you do not have to pop the popcorn at home. You can also use the toaster. I would bring weight watcher english muffins, yum! What about baking a batch of low point muffins to bring with you. That would make a great breakfast or snack.

I hear ya about trying to stay OP while at Dis. I'm also concerned about it especially since we have free dining. I'm thinking I want to induldge somewhat, more than I would at home, but I also don't want to ruin all of the hard work that I've been doing. I'm in on a fridge swap & I think I will be ordering groceries to be delivered. We will be eating breakfast in our room, think cereal & fruit. I'm most concerned about the cs meals. I hope that there are salad choices. Anyone know where you can get a good cs salad, not iceberg? For sit downs I'm not afraid to ask for things without sauces or whatever. But I also know that when I'm in situations to make a good decision that I don't always do it. So 1st I'm hoping to be at my goal or very close to it for my Sept trip. Then if I'm at my goal I think I will allow myself to treat a bit. But I'm certainly planning on having fruit & low point snacks with me at all times! I'd love more tips from other WW!

First off you are not crazy! Let me tell you my story as I too packed for the trip. We were there for 8 full days.

I brought my WW muffins and pita bread. I also packed some of the pretzel snacks and one of the WW cheese doodle snacks to have because I knew I would not be able to buy those items there. I was glad I did that. Since we flew I packed a WW muffin to eat on the plane on the way down. I was lucky in the fact that we were in a OKW 1 bedroom with a full kitchen. We also had a car and went shopping so I bought fresh fruits and veggies, plus WW yogart, bran cereal, a ww meal, tuna and for my real treat a box of WW fudge ice cream. Granted we did eat all but 5 meals in the room so I probably did have it easier then you. For 3 of those 5 meals I made good weightwatcher choices. The other two were buffets and I admit one was breakfast and I counted 20 points at that; the second was our last meal again a buffet that I ate whatever I wanted. I did count that meal and it was about 30 points. The rest of the time I stayed within my daily points and did a LOT OF WALKING--I racked up about 20 miles on the counter I wore.

What I learned was even at buffets you could easily stay on target. It's about making choices, for those meals I chose to pick items I would normally not eat on program. I passed on the eggs (heck you can eat eggs all the time if you wanted) but did eat some bacon, french toasts, the breakfast pizza, fruit and when I was still hungry then I had the oatmeal. For the dinner again I could easily have stayed well within plan but I opted to eat the BB pork ribs as I knew that I would not be either buying or making them myself.

What I really should have bought for a low point snack or a fillin with dinner in the room was the Progresso 1 or 2 point WW soups. I really missed them and never felt like I had enought veggies each day as honestly some days I was still hungry as I usually eat a lot of low / zero point veggies every day.

I made up my mind before I left I could eat anything I wanted and as much of it, what I had to do was keep track of every point. If it was 50 a day it was 50 the number wasn't going to change if I didn't acknowledge it. I found that once I gave myself permission to do it, it was easy to make a choice.

From the time I weighed in 2 weeks ago today, to my weigh in today I lost a total of 7 lbs. That is due to planing, good choices, water, and walking.

I just wish I could go back for another week to do my diet there. There is not better place to walk then Epcot.... you can easily do 5 miles a day there.
