Hi,

I wondered if anyone has any ideas or suggestions about what Ican do for flights - for my holiday next year. I believe the only option I have is BA -but not too sure.

To explain - next year we are looking to be away for 3 weeks.
The plan is to fly to New York - spend a week there
Then fly to WDW have a week there
Then board the Disney Magic and have a 7 night cruise.

I beleive BA will let me book a flight 2 NY and the return from MCO. I am not bothered about the flight from NY to MCO as a friend who is from NY saif to go with Jet blue.

I have back problems and would need premium economy seating. The xtra leg room is a must.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? We live in the north east .

Thanks

BA isnt the only one who does flights to NY. We are going next week to Florida with American Airlines who were doing Stansted to NYC (though midway though our trip they are ditching this so now it's Heathrow and I imagine Gatwick only too) and NYC to MCO.

Suggest looking at their site, their flight prices were a mite more reasonable than Virgin and BA's this year.

Thanks - Do they have a pe seat? I know the economy called coach? Is there premium coach?

Then Of course we would have to get from Newcastle to London?

doesn't virgin also fly to NYC?

Yes but not from Manchester - It would mean having to get to London first.

Be aware that if you book the internal flight yourslef then you are very limited with luggage allowances. If the ticket is booked as one ie UK - NY then NY - MCO and finally MCO - UK then it is based on the transatlantic allowance for all sectors :)

And Continental code share with VA so there maybe a way of coming back on a VA flight.

Just another idea, we are flying Edinburgh - New York - Orlando with Continental, it may be easier for you to drive to Edinburgh rather than London if you are in the NE.

Just google Continental and you can book it all online or phone them direct.

Last time we flew out with Continental and returned with Virgin - personally I was diappointed, I would rather travel Continental. OK so they dont have fancy seat back controls and games like VA but we though the seat pitch seemed bigger and the staff (being AMerican) were politer.

Why not put your route into say Expedia (you have to pick the multi trip option I think on flights only) - they will come back with airlines available & prices.

Last year we flew Manchester, Philly to connect to Charlotte - then on to Orlando. Back to Manchester (via Philly).

It was with USAir - we even got Virgin Airmiles for the flights!

We flew virgin to NYC then onto Orlando on a codeshare and then home home from Orlando with a change of planes in NYC but it worked out cheaper than direct , of course we flew from Gatwick so I don't know about Manchester.
Have fun Have you arranged the meet yet?

Luggage allowance with Jet Blue is 2 bags at 23kilos each so not a problem.

They are a fantastic internal airline wish they flew transatlantic too.
