Ok so we got back from the world a few weeks ago and have been crazy busy and unable to start. We were on the DDP, we truly love it! So here we go
Me- 20 and loves her food. Not huge on Fish but Mahi Mahi and Salmon Also one of my favorite parts of the trip is to plan where we are going to eat. I know...crazy!
DMom- likes pretty much anything and open to just about anything, and generally easy to please with food. I have a soy and also lactose intolerance so some dishes are a bit modified due to that.
DDad- Loves scallops, Shrimp, meat, not crazy about Dessert, I know he is crazy about that one. He is also very Italian and makes his own sauces so well you will see later on with one experience...hehe:)
DSis- 15 and picky! Though she is starting to be more open to food options still love good ole faithfuls of steak and chicken. Dislikes seafood and fish with a passion. Also careful about the spices due to severe heartburn so some plates will appear a bit different.
The restaurants we went to are:
Le Cellier
Yak and Yeti
Boma
1900 Park Fare
Chef's De France
Restaurant Marrakesh
Cape May Clam Bake
Narcoosee's
Mama Melrose
I will include Quick Services as we go, can not remember them all off the top of my head currently...

Day 1:
So we leave the wonderful world of CO only to get to more of a wonderful world of DISNEY! As we are flying across the country I am counting down to when we get on Disney Property and the world of Magic! We stayed at BW so our first meal was in Epcot which is one of favorite parks and places to eat because of the options out there. We get all checked in and out the door we go.....
First meal is at Le Cellier, we had some issues at first with our ressie, they seemed to have spelled the name wrong, dunno how you do that but it is fine, regardless TAKE YOUR RESSIE CONFIRMATION #, this is important!!!!!! That is how we figured out that they spelled the name wrong. So moving on, we had to wait about 15 min. for the reservation which was upsetting to Dsis because she was about ready to eat an appendage. But whats WDW without some sort of wait right? So we get seated....
First off we were basically in the aisle, seems like they are trying to smoosh more tables in Le Cellier every time we go! Oh well we are seated and getting to eat soon! I had been looking forward to the Mushroom Filet since the last time we went 2 years earlier...oh yea and that amazing pretzel bread! :worship:
Our waitress comes over and goes through her spiel of everything about Canada...i kind of tuned out oops! I was too focused on that pretzel bread and filet. She takes our drinks I get this raspberry lemonade wway way way sweet, pretty much tooo sweet, watered it down later, Dsis-same, Ddad- water and Raspberry Chocolate Shake...he loves milkshakes go figure, but not desserts! DMom-Chocolate Shake.
Ok so Beware!!! of a waitress named Dawn :scared1: she is not that great. Our drinks AND Bread!! took about 15 min to get to us and then the shakes took another 5! Seriously this is not Ok, I mean I am ok with waiting for a few min, I am a waitress and now and then it gets busy and sometimes you get busy, but I mean seriously that long! The shakes came by with another person, who was probably the runner for that station so understandable but soda and water taking that long???. Ok so that moves on and we haven't seen Dawn in forever, I am out of lemonade and my mom out of soda and we are out of BREAD! Finally she is passing us and we flag her down and say we need more drinks and bread she kind of seems bothered but whatever. Our food gets to us and all is well again
me and DM get the Mushroom Filet
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_6889.jpg
Dsis and Ddad get the New York Strip Steak
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_6890.jpg
The Mushroom Filet was to Die For!! It was so tender you could have cut it with a fork, I was :cloud9:, so wasn't my mom. We were sooooo pleased and found this to be super filling, perfect portion sizes for us! The Risotto was not too mushy and had the perfect flavoring! I want to get back on plane right now and go eat the Mushroom Filet.
The New Strip Steak was really tasty as well. Tried a piece a Ddad and really loved it. The steak was huge, he wishes he got more potatoes though. He is a carb and starch man. Dsis enjoyed hers as well, she said it was too big for her to finish so Ddad finished it off, he finishes off anything we can't. In the pic above he already started to dig in before I could get a pic, you can also see his Raspberry Shake, though we all felt it was meh, it was vanilla ice cream with what tasted like hersheys chocolate and raspberry syrup, something you can easily make at home with a blender. Ok back to the steak. The potatoes had amazing spices on them that just made them yummy. Overall we were all very pleased with our meals.
Now desserts we come,
Me, DM, and Dsis got the Maple Creme Brulee- let me tell you heaven, It was carmelized perfectly on top so the top layer was warm but then the custard part underneath was still chilled. It was a creamy heaven. We ate it right when it hit the table, we forgot to get the pic...but my dad got his to go because of not being a dessert fan right after dinner and we did get a pic of New York Style Cheesecake
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_6892.jpg
When the bill came it was around $180, no surprise we are on DDP so no big. Now one thing we did notice, didn't bother us, is that there are suggested Tip amounts on the bottom. Now we felt that Dawn did not earn a full 18 or 20 percent which is what is given on the bottom. She only checked on us once during the meal and never during dessert except to bring the check. We left her 15 percent instead which we thought was generous considering, and still a really good tip considering our total for 4 people. So there is Day 1 down and conquered tune in for Day 2 which will be up soon!

Ok, sorry for the delay, had a huge test week..gr! So onto day 2....get ready! So Day 2 was AK day. We had a semi slower morning. We were planning on eating at Flame Tree for lunch and Yak and Yeti for dinner. We were planning on getting to lunch earlier so we could beat the crowds. Well let me tell you...that failed. I mean it wasn't horrible it was just that its a mosh till you get into the overhang more into lines. other than that it is a fend for yourself. But hey I can deal with that. It was just a little busier being the end of May and what not. So our order consisted of 2 orders of the St. Louis Ribs, BBQ chicken, and the Mixed Green Salad with BBQ Chicken. Then for desserts because of the DDP we got 2 key lime pies, a frozen lemonade, and a triple chocolate cake.
So we get our order and start the hopes of finding a table. Now let me tell you, there are many tables, but you will just keep walking and wandering because they are all kind of tucked away behing Flame Tree, and it just takes forever to find that table, but finally after walking around and dodging little ones we found a table in the shade and sat and ate.
I take my first bit of the ribs and fall in love! They are sooooo good. It came with a Corn muffin which was also so good, it was moist and just yummy! My dad also got the ribs, he is pretty critical but really enjoyed them. We agree that they were both not to dry, but not the slimey texture either just right. They give you extra BBQ sauce which is really nice that they don't come drenched in BBQ, that made me happy since I like some but not alot, and my dad likes a ton of it. We also got beans, I tried a bit, not a huge fan but they were quite yummy. It was a ton of Food! Dsis got the BBQ chicken, and really enjoyed it as well. Said it was super moist, but not slimey. Perfection for all of those. Dmom had the Salad said it was superb as well. I tried a piece and felt the same. Next time I am for sure trying that salad! :thumbsup2. The Key lime pies were really great for counter service. They are actually slices of pie not the prepackaged type. I got the frozen lemonade because it was quite warm and just sound great. It was pretty yummy for a hot day. Here are some pics:

We didn't make it to Flame Tree on our last trip. We ended up eating at the Y&Y counter service. Hubby is definitely going to want to hit Flame Tree next time if he sees those ribs and corn bread. Two of his favorite things!

Great review and pictures. We go to FT everytime while were in AK and we love it. We have never tried the ribs but they look so good and have heard alot of excellent reviews of them. When we were there, most of us don't like the beans and they let us switch to the coleslaw. The coleslaw was excellent and we enjoyed it much better. We are trying LeCellier in March and can't wait. The food looks so good too.

Ok so now I am ready to start the amazing Yak and Yeti review. So after a fun filled day at AK, and head still bopping to Finding Nemo the Musical. Just going to throw this out there that this is a must see. I immediatly bought the soundtrack and been addicted since. Ok well back on track to the food topic. So we get to Yak and Yeti a bit before our ressie and they were able to sit us when we got there. It didn't seem like super busy. The tables were full but it wasn't like they were backlogged. I loved being in A/C! It is super cool there which is nice to get out of the heat. So we got seated on the second floor which was nice, it was a little quieter up there we thought. So our waiter arrives. He was from Morrocco! Very interesting to be working on the Yak and Yeti. He was really nice, went through some of the favorites on the menus to help us narrow down our meals. I really enjoy asian food period so it was soooooo hard to narrow what to eat there. Now this restaurant I was concerned about with the soy allergy but no worries, they DO NOT use soy bean fillers. Now I am fine with Soy sauce because the protein breaks down but it is the fillers that cause me problems.
So drinks...I got the raspberry lemonade which was pretty sweet, not as bad as Le Cellier though. Another new thing we learned they now use paper straws in AK. I do not mind, I am actually happy that now I have a straw to use! My mom get a diet, sis got a coke, and dad got a sprite but then also ordered the bamboo shooter drink. It was sweet, but not overly and presented really cool. They brought it out in a bamboo wood cup and umbrella, kind of girly for a guy...:rotfl:
Ok, you guys came for the food....so onto the entrees! I decided on the Sweet and Sour chicken with white rice. It was alot of chicken with quite a bit of rice. It was alot of food! It had the right blend of spices and wasn't too sweet or tangy. Just perfect. The veggies mixed in were the normal sweet and sour chicken veggies. The rice was really good too. I know weird to talk about, but it was cooked perfectly. Like not mushy but not too hard, just right in the middle, some of the best rice I have ever had. I really enjoyed it. I had planned on getting the honey chicken but then after reading how it didn't have great flavor i kept away from that one and kept searching.
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_7029_2.jpg
My mom and dad got the same think. They had a flank steak and shrimp tempura mixture. It was really good. The flank steak with really tender and had a slight smoky teriyaki taste. It was sooooo good. Then the Shrimp tempura was sooooo good too. I tried a bit of theirs and it was just heavenly. It had a super light batter taste, with a slight buttery hint, and the shrimp was just yummy! They also give you yummy tempura dipping sauce that is slightly tangy and spicy. There were six skewers of shrimp then the flank steak was wrapped around some white rice, same as sweet and sour chicken. Then you also get some stir fry veggies, which include snap peas and peppers. It is alot of food but they do have little to go containers you can take your food back to your room. They really enjoyed their meals.
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_7026_2.jpg
My Dsis got the beef and broccoli. It is served with the same flank steak that has been sliced thin, chunks of broccoli, and stripped carrots. This dish is also served with white rice. She really enjoyed her meal and said that it was super tender steak as well. I didn't get to try this one so can't say as much except she liked this one alot and said she would tell everyone to get this one.
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_7027_2.jpg
We saw many desserts go by and there was this one that was this brownie sundae that was HUGE!!!!! Like super huge. 3 of us decided on this one. And loved every minute of it. Though we could not finish ours. After a few bites I was done. It was a thick brownie, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, and whip cream. Death by chocolate basically. My mom got the skewers which were skewers of pineapple and cheese wontons that were sweet. it had a honey vanilla drizzle that was really good, I am not a pineapple fan but liked the cheese wontons.
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_6847.jpg
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_7030_2.jpg
The bill came it was about 130 i believe. Our server was amazing, he kept our drinks full, made sure everything was perfect so we left a little over 20. He also took about 4 pics of our family which was really nice because many of you know how hard it is to get the whole family in a pic. He was just really sweet, and had the true disney spirit that has become harder to come by.
Overall this was a great restaurant that had wonderful choices and i would reccomend to anybody who is wanting to eat a TS in the AK. I am happy to see some new choices appearing in the AK.

We were, and we found it to be more than enough food. We did alot of eating!! We looked at the menus for the CS meals and read reviews of different ones and decided on ones that had quite a bit of food. Like Flame Tree and Sunshine Seasons, which are in AK and Epcot give you so much food you can't finish, because in a few hours you are eating again. We also found to book dinner for your TS give you the best deal. I hope this helps!

Hope you don't mind me answering your question about breakfast. We were on the basic dining plan back in November and we found that we could use 1 snack credit for a box of entenmenn's donuts at the store at our resort. This isn't a little package. This is a box of 6 (or is it 8) regular size donuts. This worked for hubby and I because it gave us breakfast for a couple days. And at 1 snack credit for the whole box - that was fantastic.
We also found that many times we just couldn't eat dessert, so we'd get something to go - something that would make a good breakfast option for the next day. And we also used snack credits for school bread, which was just so big that you never ate it all, but it made a great breakfast option.

Since 2008, you can no longer get something multi-serving for one snack credit. For example, the box of donuts. Sorry!

We were in the little snack/gift area next to Snow Whites Scary Adventure in April and were picking up a box of those iced cookies $3.95 when we learned those are no longer a snack credit, the little animal crackers size box is $1.75 (?) is though, we decided we would wait. Not using a snack credit on what amounts to a $.75 box of cheap cookies. We used our left over credits at Goofys and in the candy stores in the parks to take stuff home to family and friends.

Well you can have anything "un-spicified" if you would like, currently I would say Le Cellier, Marakesh, Flame Tree, Yak and Yeti, Cape May, really most of them you can find something on the menu that isn't that spicy...i started thinking of it ,and can think of one thing on just about every menu that has something that is not spicy. But if it is a medical thing, like my sis has severe heartburn, and we would just tell the waiter that she has to have some stuff that isn't crazy spicy and they would tell her what they thought was best but also make a note on her meal
About the breakfast, we felt the same way not wanting to pay OOP too much, but also putting the credit card to our room key worked great because then you never had to carry cash, and my mom would much rather not carry cash in the park, because a card can be easily cancelled. But cash is gone forever.

Great restaurant reviews so far. I'm planning a trip for next May and reading your reviews (and seeing your photos) have added some names to the list of possible locations.
We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary. Which of the places you were at would you say was a good option for a special dinner. We didn V&A for our 10th anniversary and it was a fantastic meal, but we really aren't the "dinning experience" type of people.
Thanks!

Well do you plan on doing the DDP? If you are I would say Le Cellier, we have also gone to Rose and Crown for Illuminations on previous trips. If you are not thinking of doing DDP or do not mind using two table services, i would say either Narcoosees or California Grill because you can watch Wishes during your meal, and it is quite romantic.

We've decided not to do the DDP. I've been on WW for a long time and still trying to lose some weight and the thought of all that food is just too overwelming. If I don't order a dessert I'm good (of course that doesn't stop me from tasting DHs choice), if I've already paid for it I can't NOT get it and then once it's on the table I'm done for.
We plan on hitting any of our TS restaurants for lunch and then going light on the dinners (except for the Anniversary). I'll have to check out the menus at the restaurants you've recommended. We are both HUGE Illuminations fans so going to the Rose & Crown is very appealing.
Thanks for the advise. I can't wait to read the rest of your reviews.

Rose and Crown is a very nice spot to watch illuminations! I have heard Chefs de France is as well but i haven't found the spot that they are talking about there, I would go for rose and crown but it is one of those things you have to ask to get on the patio for illuminations, so eating a bit before but eating SLOW :rotfl:

I've heard that you need to make the ressies early to get an outside table and then order your drinks then wait and order your appitizers, etc. It will be challenging to do the slow dinning thing but I'm sure we could manage it. I was also toying with the idea of trying to get an Illuminations cruise. The thought of getting up at 3:45am to make calls to Florida (and the cost) is a little daunting.
We've eaten at California Grill (but its been years) but we've never done Narcoosees. I'll have to look it up. I don't even know where it's located.:confused3 I'm thinking it must be at the GF if you can see Wishes.

[QUOTE=belleatheart;26009391]We were, and we found it to be more than enough food.
This does help alot! Thank you so much! :goodvibes I was wondering though, I may have just missed it, but what did you guys eat for breakfast? We plan on CS meals for lunch, and we have TS meals planned for dinner, but not sure what to do about breakfast [we're planning on hitting emh rope drops so food is important to get us going! :rotfl: ]. Snack credits for breakfast?
Share 1 for breakfast and then the other for lunch. There are lots of CS places where they give you SOO much food (just look at the pictures here). We always split either between DH and I (2006) or adult DD and I (last year). If you are really hungry, you can get more but we never found it necessary.

Narcoosees is at the GF, it is at the very tip of GF at the edge of the lake so you look right out at MK, great spot to view wishes, do you use your cell to make the calls to Disney? We have free night and weekend, and that would still count for night on a plan, I used my cell to make all my calls

What a great idea! I hadn't thought of using my cell phone to call. I guess 4:00am WOULD be considered nighttime.
I checked out the menu and since we haven't ever been there before, it might be just the ticket for our anniversary.
Thanks for all your advice.

Narcoossee's is a great place to celebrate an anniversary. We were there back in November, the night before hubby's birthday. I actually planned our reservation late (8:30ish) so we could see the Electrical Water Pageant while we were dining. It was fantastic. And even though we were sitting in the upper "ring" of the restaurant, we could still see if very clearly as they dimmed the lights.

Kelleigh i completely forgot about the electric light parade. So true!
Ok I am back for day 3 well the start of it at least. Sorry this has been taking so long it has just been crazy around here with summer classes. So day 3 was one of our epcot days. So for lunch we went to our favorite place SUNSHINE SEASONS! We really like this place because the food is fresh and desserts are amazing. Everybody in my family can find something to eat no matter what! So we ate around 11, which has become our new time we found works great because most people are still doing rides and not ready to eat lunch and if we were to eat much later there is no way we could have eaten dinner. The food is so fresh that it is super filling to eat at Sunshine Seasons. Now the lines can look daunting but do not be fooled! It is not that bad, there are many people wandering looking like we all do to see what looks good and they have alot to look at. The various stations then the cooler type area between the stations that have other items too. It is overwhelming with all the options at times. You can never decide what to pick:scared1: So what we decided on this time around of Seasons was:
Ddad- asian pork stir fry, stir fry beef, white rice, and butterfinger cheesecake
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_7045.jpg
He said it was really good, he likes his chinese food to be "saucy". Basically he can not eat rice plain it needs to have the sauces on it. He also loves spice, and said that this wasn't bad, could have had more built in spice, but they have little packets you can take that is like the chili paste stuff that he added and said was much better with that. The butterfinger cheesecake I was a bit weary of at first. There is something I found about mixing butterfinger candy car bits with cheesecake. I took the plunge and had a bite and it was really good! Now I don't know why I just didn't trust them because I have never had a bad item at sunshine seasons.
Dsis- Rotisserie Chicken Meal
It comes with a breast of rotisserie which is juicy, well it is actually 1/2 a chicken, but she eats the breast mostly, and then a choice of starch or veggie. Now my sis is not a fan or carrots or broccoli, she tolerates broccoli, but instead she got rice and mashed potatoes. Now we are picky about the mashed potatoes since we make homemade, but these were really good and had the skins in them. She really enjoyed the potatoes, enough to not let me have a bite:laughing: She then had the rice which was buttery with a herb taste, i can put my finger one what it was. She then had the Key lime pie for dessert, I also had this as well as Dmom we all enjoyed this alot, it was too big to finish off by ourselves one split between the 3 of us would have been perfect, but its the DDP so everybody loads up on the food
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_7051_2.jpg
Dmom got the oak fired salmon with the sauce on the side since she was unsure how she would like it. She loved the sauce, said it was amazing, now she said the size of salmon was perfect for her but maybe a little small for others. I dunno, with dessert and everything it was good size for lunch, maybe not for dinner. She also got carrots and mashed potatoes which she enjoyed. The carrots had like a honey sauce and the same potatoes as the chicken. She said she could have eaten that salmon all the time, it was cooked perfectly. It had the tendency to be dry or tough, but it was moist and tender.
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/ebba97/IMG_7052_2.jpg
Now I had the oak fired chicken ceasar salad. This is nothing to write home about. It was a chicken ceasar salad. One thing is that it comes with quite a bit of chicken, and it is not chunked or cubed chicken, but huge strips of the oak fired chicken. The lettuce was crisp, the cheese fresh, and the dressing was on there perfectly though. The chicken was still warm which is what I like on my salads. It's really a bountiful amount of food, just not something that I would say you have to go to Sunshine Season's for the chicken ceasar salad. What I liked about it was that it is made to order, you stand there and watch the salad be made which ensures the freshness of your salad.

Overall this was a great meal for a CS at lunch, and they have tons and tons of seating, I mean it is huge, there should be a table available and you can normally find one tucked away in a corner so you can have a quieter meal!

So we are back, I have successfully moved! Well lets see we were moving onto marrakesh, now it is 4 am my time, I just finished hw and so now i am hoping to get started and maybe catch a few zzz's and come back. Now we got to marrakesh a bit before to check in and then maybe wander Morocco for a bit. So we get to the restaurant and they seat us immediatly actually! Yay, we were seated in the second tier, when you enter the dining room area there is a center area that is where the belly dancer and musicians play and dance, then there are tables around this area that go about 2 deep then a walkway then another two, then you can go up to a second tier that is 3 tables deep, with a walkway between each one. Now this is deff. an older restaurant. Has a great atmosphere but could use a slight upgrade. Our server was prompt to get to us and got our drink orders and brought them right back out. Now this was out of the ordinary for us to come to a restaurant with Moroccan food. We have broad palettes but nothing with these types of spices, more the asian side and mexican not so much like this. So we were really excited to get to eat here and try something new. Ok now my eyes are closing and I hope to finish tomorrow if not Thurs, so for the delay
