Is FOTL pass necessary at UL when going in Sept?

I'm going to Universal Studios towards the end of September during the week. I was just wondering if its even necessary to get a front of the line pass or if the crowds will be pretty small? We had FOTL passes last time we were there and it was great however the FOTL pass is considerably more expensive than just the regular day pass.

I personally wouldn't get a FOTL pass because the lines aren't usually ricidulously long. September shouldn't be crowded during the week so you should be fine. Even if the lines were long, there's usually things to look at to pass the time. Ex. Waiting for the BL Tour can go by fast by watching the TV screens and looking at the different pics in the line queue.

I would agree, no on the FOLP. September is a hot month to go, but not crowded,b/c schools are all back in at that time. My biggest hang up at US is trying to stay cool, no matter what time of year we go!
Have fun and buy some food instead of the FOLP.

We got them when we were there in Aug of 06 on a Saturday but this time it will be a Thursday in October so I'm not going to buy them this time. I can't imagine it will be that busy.

Couldn't you just pay standard admission and then upgrade to FOTL passes if you saw the lines were long? We were just there July 19th, Saturday, and we did suck it up and got the FOTL passes, very pricey, but well worth it for our family. It was warm that day and no one was complaining about waiting in the heat, we rode everything we wanted at least 3 times each. We didn't arrive until 1030am and left around 7pm.
