Any pictures, advice, tips? What did you do after the wedding with your guests (since you cant have a real reception)? Do they provide the plates, cutting knife, server, forks, etc. for the cake? Thanks!:santa:

:welcome: to the DIS!!!
dmslush was married at Sunset Pointe and has some beautiful pictures!
You can see some "generic" pictures of Sunset Pointe
HERE (http://www.mouseweddings.com/wedlocp.html) and HERE (http://www.tazfoto.com/webhtml/sunset_pointe.htm)
For the Escape package you get a "cake and champagne" reception right there at Sunset Pointe. There's time for you to have cake with your guests and a first dance with your new hubby, and probably even your parents if that's what you want!
They will provide everything you need although depending on the number of guests (there's a maximum of 10 allowed at Sunset Pointe including the bride and groom) you might want to buy an extra bottle of champagne.
Depending on the time of day you have your wedding, you can plan to have a lunch, or dinner "reception" with your guests. Your coordinator will help you book that...you just need to let them know where you want to go.
Some brides schedule a fireworks dessert party (especially at Epcot/Illuminations) and that might be something you might like to ask about too!
Hope that helps and just ask any questions you have!

We got married at the Poly and it was GORGEOUS! They do have the cake cutting at Sunset Pointe and yes they provided all of our glasses, plates, etc....
We took the cake and had it served in O'Hanas which is where we had our dinner after. Then we invited our guests for a Wishes Cruise on the Grand 1 which was AWESOME!!!!

Thank you, that's very sweet of you to say!
OP, we did have a cake cutting at sunset point, but the day that we married it was extremely cold and windy. HA, they actually said that it was the coldest day that Orlando had seen in 5 years! So, we didn't eat the cake there, they boxed it up and sent it to our room. But, that was our choice. If we had wanted to stay there and eat it, they would have been more than happy to let us. They did provide everything, tables, chairs, plates, glasses, etc...
Here are a few pictures from our wedding:

I DID, I DID!!! It was so wonderful and my family was astounded at the quality and beauty of it all. The cake was beautiful and they provided everything needed. Our wedding planner did a great job. I recommend Sunset Point, it was so pretty. We had everyone, including us wear the lei's the Poly gives you for free. it was a last second decision that looked great!
The photoshoot on the beach was wonderful, the sun was just coming up and gave us some amazing contrast! We wrote our names in the sand, took pics of us in a hammock, got our shadows leaning together on a palm trees' shadow. 10am turned out to be a wonderul time on NYE!!

I haven't yet... but I plan to in December 2010!:cool1: We are hoping to have a Sunset Point Ceremony, OHana's dinner, and Wishes Cruise! The only real downfall is only being allowed 8 guests and risking possible bad weather! Otherwise I think it's the PERFECT location!:beach: pixiedust: Anyone have more pics or PJ's and TR's?

I got married at Sunset a few years ago, and it was the perfect location. I will say I think its windy there a lot my train was blowing all over the place but it just made for better pics, but I was very glad I didn't have a veil my head would have been snapped back throughout the ceremony. We had the cake cutting and then headed over to Yachtsman Steakhouse where we had a dinner set up. This was before the planners would help with booking dinners so we did it on our own, we called the manager and set up the reservation, and picked the menu we wanted served, they printed us special ones, with just our choices (again not sure if they still do this as it's been 3 years, but worth checking it was a very nice touch). And since there were so few of us (12 w/ Randy taking pics), we were put in a back room that only fit us. It was very nice. After dinner we all went our separate ways but my wedding was at 3 so it wasn't like we still had all day to kill.
We didn't do it on the wedding day but we did a welcome dessert reception at the GF marina, less expensive than the Epcot and Fantasmic ones but still very nice. We timed it so we could see wishes, and the water parade. We couldn't see it from our tables but we only had to walk a few steps.
And here are some pics of SP:

This is from the back of the Poly, just past the doors there is a gardeny waterfall area that's beautiful for pics. There are lots of great areas at the Poly for pics outside of just the wedding site:
