So I received an amazing deal on 160 AK points and no one in my life seems to be anywhere near as excited or appreciate as I am. :confused3 Actually, I dont know anyone that is in to DVC besides myself...and all of you! This is why I'm sharing my good deal with you wonderful and understanding folks!
About a month ago I went to DVC's first West Coast party on the very first night and took advantage of their special of 160 AK points at $8 off, plus 2 AP to either WDW or DL, and a week vacation at various places (they had about 15 locations and it was first come first serve). I was the first to pick a vacation and ended up with a two bedroom condo on the beach in Maui for the second week of December :goodvibes My DH and I had already talked about Hawaii in December so this was just too good to pass on. **more good deals to come....keep reading!
I got home, thought it over, and was debating on if I should take the deal or not (we didnt sign paperwork there) because I'm still working on paying off my SSR contract. I've never seen AK and I could add more to my SSR via resale for less. I ended up visiting WDW in early June, checked out AK, and fell in love! When I came home I decided that I DID want the add on only if I could postpone payments for a handful of months while I finished paying of SSR (the AK points have an Oct YU but I dont get my first 160 until next May).
I played phone tag w/ my rep for about a week and spoke with her yesterday.
She said we could hold off payments for a few months which just sweetened the deal (I wont have to do double payments for a handful of months) and THEN I found out yesterday that Disney Visa is offering the 500 Disney Dollars for DVC add ons! I called them this morning and found out that sure enough I'm going to get 500 Disney Dollars!!!
In conclusion: 160 points at $8 off, 2 AP, a week in Maui, and 500 Disney dollars!!!
I'm right to be so excited, yes??? ::yes:: I just wish those around me could understand!!
