Just saw on the universal site that this is being offered for time we are there. Do you have to use your own tix & special tix, or just the special tix? Any info on this event is welcomed! Dress up? Thanks, MKY

No costumes are allowed. They do all the spooking. This event is an additional charge I believe it is about $30.00. All rides are open with some as an additional spook areas. They have 5 haunted houses set up in different locations some in sound stages and then others in walkways.

I see that the Orlando Business Journal is reporting that this year HHN will move to IOA. Any confirmation on this?

Screamscape reported the same rumor a while back, but I really hope they don't. HHN works very well at Universal, and I can't see a scare zone working in Toon Lagoon or Seuss Landing. I think adding IOA to HHN...keeping IOA open the same hours, a scareactor here and there and maybe a show somewhere would attract crowds, and maybe lighten the crowd at US enough for everyone to enjoy themselves.

Even though the official word hasnt been told to the press...HHN is definately moving next door this year. Many of the parade people have been given the information, since there will be no parade this time around (doesnt work at IOA). So, in addition, it doesnt seem like we will have another bead fest until next Mardi Gras.

I don't think they will totally remove HHN from the studios. They use too many of the sound stages and free areas in the studio area for the haunted houses. What I think might happen is that they will add IOA into HHN. There is an easy way to get from the two parks near sound stage 21. It is a farely clear path between stage 21 and Suess Landing area. They would need to put up some fencing to block the back stage area from people walking around there.

i for one do not believe they will muck-up IOA with HHN. I am not opposed to change but this one just make no sense except to LBD's:smooth:

Sheesh! Can't a guy ask an innocenty question around here?

Actually, I think they could so some nifty things at IOA. Howz about people walk into Mythos, part a curtain and see a DIS-Meet meal in progress. That'd scare anyone!

Then you can see Dueling Spiderman shirts! :)

It is very easy to give it all to IOA...still use the soundstages...just have you enter from the opposite side of the building. Plus, think of the possibilities....A haunted Tric Encounter? Dragons queue?

Plus, from all I hear at the park...it IS happening.

How about the parade. It wouldn't be able to happen. The walkwasy at IOA can barely handle the people traffic needless to say the floats and people standing on the same concrete. That would mean no more beeds until next year at MardiGras.

Not with MIB around you can't, Kelly!!!

Good thing nobody parted the curtain in the VIP room LAST week....they would have witnessed the MIB/MSDis dining team...it doesn't HAVE to be Halloween time to instill fear!!! :D

I'm looking forward to going to HHN for my first time, no matter where they have it! :)

We're even coming back down in October for Halloween Horror Nights. I wanted to come back during the summer but we're doing the Boston-Bermuda cruise in August. I would rather be at USF.

I just don't see how that would be possible, or likely.(just my opinion, reality may vary) For the last 11 years it's been a hit at Studios, why would they change it now?
Plus, that would mean acess to both parks, they would have to change the ticket prices. That would be a bummer.
Just my .02 cents
:)

We're going back this year for the 1st time in 2 years, can't wait to see what's in store for us this year ! Plus, that would mean acess to both parks, they would have to change the ticket prices. A little bit off subject but, can we use the HRH and PBH room keys for the haunted houses during HHN?

WebmasterBarry

Keys are not valid during special events, like HHN.
