View Full Version : Do you have to valet park where it's offered?

Taking our first trip to VWL this summer. On previous trips, we've always stayed somewhere where we "self-parked". Both DH and I walk for our health and delibrately park further away in parking lots at malls so we can walk and justify our desserts! So I was wondering, is valet parking something you're "expected" to do or is it just a service that's offered for those who choose to use it?

You are always welcome to self-park - valet is only an option where you want to take advantage of it.

Simba's Mom,

I love VWL, but I can assure you that you will work off your desserts if you park at the far end of that lot! Especially on a nice toasty afternoon in Florida. :sunny:

Our trips to WL, we have not valet parked and had no problem walking to our car.

And you can always request a room far away from the elevators if you want to add to your walk. :D

VWL also has one of the best gym/exercise facilities on property - you can always exercise there - plus this property is beautiful - you will walk for fun for miles - believe me you will get your exercise.

WL is the one resort where we always decide to valet. The trek through the parking lot to the road is not too bad but then that's followed by the trek up the hill to the front door. And of couse there's always the problem of actually finding a parking space, empty spaces are few and far between if the hotel is busy.
