Fort Wilderness Segway tour

Can anyone who's done this please give me exact instructions where to go? I've read that people have had problems finding the right place and we have to be there at 8.15 a.m. I believe we should park in the kennels parking lot - how long does it take to get from there to the Segway place please? Thanks for your help.

As I recall they gather behind the Trails End/Hoopdedoo complex. You can take a boat over from the Contemporary; or park on the perimeter of the camping complex and take a bus in; you could also walk from there, but it's probably close to a mile::cop:

If you are driving, the best way is to drive to the "Day lot" at Ft. Wilderness. If you are coming from the Magic Kingdom toll booth, it is the 2nd entrance on the left. If you are coming from the road past Port Orleans, it is the first lot on the right.

Once you park in that lot, then go to the bus stop just past the kennels, and take any bus marked "Settlement" (Purple, Yellow, or Orange). (These buses start at 6:40am) Get off at Settlement and walk toward the marina. When you pass Crockets Tavern, hang a left on the sidewalk towards Mickey's Backyard Barbecue.

If you wish to take Disney transportation, then take a bus to Magic Kingdom (buses to MK start at 6:30 am) then walk to the Contemporary out to their marina, then take a boat to Fort Wilderness. (These boats start at 6:45am) Then walk from the dock towards Pioneer Hall. Just before you get to Pioneer Hall, hang a right on the sidewalk towards Mickey's Backyard barbecue.

Thank you very much - that's very helpful. We'll be staying at Wilderness Lodge. What is the best way to get to Fort Wilderness please? We'll be hiring a car or could use Disney transportation. What would you experts advise?

If you are at Wilderness Lodge, then just take the walking path over to Ft. Wilderness (about a mile), or take the boat over (starts at 6:45 am) (may also stop at Contemporary), or take the direct bus over to Ft. Wilderness(probably starts about 7 - 7:30 am)

All of the above transportation options will get you to the Settlement end of the campground and then it's a short walk over to the Backyard Barbecue area where the tour starts.
