Can someone explain Bounceback to me? I get that it's booking a future trip while you're there, but I don't get any more than that. :confused3

Do you get a room discount? DDP? A gift card? I mean, we're thinking about booking our honeymoon on bounceback while we're down there in August, but I want to know what the incentive is to do it, you know.

Our bounceback offered us 30% off any deluxe resort, or 40% off any deluxe villa resort.

Hope this helps.

Yep, that was the same offer in the room when I was there in May. Booked 30% off at BWI. Very nice.

The promotions vary. When we were there for free dining in 2007, we booked for the same time period in 2008, also with free dining. If you don't have a flyer in your room (we did not), watch the Resort TV channel for a screen that says something like "Call Now for a Hot Deal. Dial #8844 from your room phone!" I think that was the number last year. You can also ask at the front desk, although the CMs may not know about it. I knew before we left last year about the Free Dining Bounceback, because I saw it on the DIS. We didn't get the flyer in the room, but I saw the promo on the TV, then asked at the front desk and they didn't know about it.

Hi, Claire...can you tell me, when you did Free Dining last year did the bounceback offer let you book the free dining for this year, or just book the resort & then you had to call back in April to add the Free Dining?

:goodvibes This was previously posted by mickey2000 (thanks for posting this!) and shows what the Bounceback info sheet in their resort room during free dining last year (2007) looked like. You could book a free dining package a year ahead (for 2008), and didn't have to wait until April the next year - that way you were guaranteed to get free dining plus had best choice of resorts, etc:

Not Claire, but you can book the whole thing, resort one day park ticket & turn it into any amount of days & free dining. This way no hassle to add it on in April.:goodvibes

Yes, we booked the Free Dining package, so we had the offer locked in regardless of whether it was offered to the general public this year. The time period was a little different than what the general public offer was this year, though. Like, the first day we could book was 8/30, and the general public was 8/24-ish (?). But the bounceback went through check-in day 9/29 and the public offer ends like 9/24-ish.

So, since we're not going during free dining, I probably won't get the free dining offer? But, 30% off Deluxe would kick butt!

We're looking at 4 nights or so in the Poly, so that would kick butt.

we are planing on going in Nov. if i get a bounceback offer i just need to book and pay 200.00 deposit right? Would i be able to add on dining and tickets at a later time? What if i book room, dining and tickets for the bounce back and need to cancel at a later time , will there be a penalty? I would love to do a bounceback but I'm going to try and get pregnant in Nov (would love a special dinsey baby souvinor) or after Nov. I dont think i could handle being preggo and going to wdw.

That's right, you just pay the deposit. If you book a package (room, tickets, DDP if you want it) then you pay $200. If you want just the room, it's 1-night's stay. The regular penalties and deadlines apply. Final payment on a package is due 45 days before arrival and if you cancel up to that day (45+ days out) you get back whatever you've paid. A room-only reservation can be cancelled 5 days in advance with no penalty.

Hope this helps! :3dglasses

Just a reminder if you book a package you pay $200 but don't let them add the trip insurance if you have to cancel you get all back. If you go & want the insurance add it before you pay the last payment. This is what I doing for my upcoming trip in Oct as I am not sure if I can go as yet. ;)

Can I book more than 1 room with a BB promo? And, can one be for my parents?

Not so sure about this as I've read posts by DISers who were unable to book additional rooms for people who were not there. :confused3 They were told that the offer was only available to current guests and was not transferable.

So some DISers came up with the idea that one would book one room in their name and another in their DH name for the other party, but I can't remember how they worked the rest (check in, etc.) Hopefully someone will post their experiences! :cutie:

Does anyone kn ow if you can "bounceback" to a different resort? I ask, as this is our last year we can stay at a value resort, as the "baby" turns 3.

You can bounceback to any resort that has availability with that particular bounceback offer- hope that makes sense

Here's some of what was offered in the past BB offers to help you see what they offered:

The Bounceback during free dining last year was to be able to book free dining again for the next year.

Then beginning toward the end of last October/first of November 2007 the Bounceback for guests staying at WDW resorts was for room discount incentives to book ahead for these dates: 12/9/07-12/15/07, 1/6/08-2/2/08, 2/24/08-3/1/08, 3/30/08-4/21/08, 8/10/08-9/27/08.

Info was:
Save 30% off the non-discounted rate for stays most nights 12/9-12/15/07, 1/6-2/2/08, 2/24-3/1/08, 3/30-4/21/08 and 8/10-9/27/08 at select Disney Deluxe hotels in standard room.

Save 40% off the non-discounted rate for stays most Sunday through Thursday nights 1/6-2/2/08 or most nights 2/24-3/1/08, 3/30-4/21/08 and 8/10-9/27/08 at select Disney Deluxe Villa resorts in a Studio.
Book now by calling 8846 from your guest room. Ask about rooms at other WDW resort hotels. Offer code CDR.
You must book and pay 1 nights deposit on or before your checkout day.

Finally this one started April 2008 (and could end at any time), the Bounceback is for a room discount incentive to book ahead for: 10/19/08-11/1/08, 11/9/08-11/15/08, 11/30/08-12/13/08.

Value resorts, 20% off most nights 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08; 10/19/08-11/1/08; 11/9/08-11/15/08; 11/30/08-12/13/08.

Moderate resorts, 30% off most nights 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08; 10/19/08-11/1/08; 11/9/08-11/15/08; 11/30/08-12/13/08.

Deluxe resorts, 30% off most nights 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08; 10/19/08-11/1/08; 11/9/08-11/15/08; 11/30/08-12/13/08.

DVC/Deluxe Villa resorts, 40% off most nights 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08; 10/19/08-11/1/08; 11/9/08-11/15/08; 11/30/08-12/13/08.

Yep, I have started trying to save all kinds of info "just in case" because I can never seem to find it again if I don't :cutie:

Whew, half the time I can't even find my own posts from the day before!
