Do the highchairs in the dining rooms have trays? If they don't have trays, is there any way I could pull up part of the table cloth to stick a suction-cup plate down to the table? After dinner tonight I realize it would be a pain to constantly keep one hand on DS's plate to prevent him from sending it flying across the room!

No--the highchairs are the standard wooden restaurant style, that must be pulled up close to the table as there isn't a tray. I also don't think you can stick a plate to the table, as I seem to recall that the tables are unfinished particle-board underneath the table-cloth. Besides, I'm not sure how you'd pull back the table cloth without destroying the set-up of the whole table.
Is it possible that you can feed your child before you enter the dining room? That way, while you eat, he/she can just play with a few toys at the table, or perhaps sit in his/her stroller.
Either way--Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll just have to get creative. Feeding DS before we eat is not an option. First, it'll just be too early for him. Second, feeding himself is his entertainment while we eat. He also is not content to sit and watch us eat - he expects food, too.
