I've never been told not to take my camera on a ride but there are those rides that theoretically prohibit any photography.......HtH and Soarin' to think of a couple. Other than that, most rides are not a problem as long as you don't use a flash on the dark rides. Now, holding the D300 with battery grip does get tricky sometimes on those fast rides. :) (fast shutter speeds;) )

I'm glad you all enjoyed them! I was there this past weekend on the DIS Divas Girls Only Trip. I rarely get to see the cherry blossoms in bloom at Disneyland.

I am loving ALL of these flowers/trees pictures!!! See, this is why I love the DISboards so much - the people here really have an affection and appreciation for DLR, and take the time to....pardon the pun....stop and smell the roses, as it were, and share their wonderful photos of those little nuances and details that others never notice. I would bet that thousands of folks who go to DLR all the time never bother to pay attention to the beauty of the DLR flora! There is always something new to discover at DLR, no matter how many times one visits there in their lifetime. And I like how the colors of the flowers/trees around the Partners statue are deliberately changed for the seasons. During Fall, there is more orange around that area. During spring, everything is pink or lavender. In the old days, during the holiday season, there were bright red poinsettias at the base of Partners (I do have a picture of that from the '90s, but I didn't post it because I figured someone here has a better picture of the Partners poinsettias that they can post!!), though I don't think I have noticed those the last couple of December trips I have taken. I think a lot of DLR guests sort of take the atmosphere and 'mood' dor granted during certain seasons, not realizing that things like the plants and flowers and trees are helping to create that mood.

By the way, am I going nuts or isn't there some sort of book out about the flowers and gardens of WDW? I could swear I saw a hard cover book somewhere about that. I don't suppose they would do one for DLR because there are only 2 parks, but I LOVE the idea of a book featuring just the flowers, trees, plants, topiary bushes, edible plants in Tomorrowland, etc.

ETA: I just looked up the book about the WDW gardens online that I remembered, and it was, indeed, called The Gardens of Walt Disney World, and it included the MK and Epcot, but it was published pre-Animal Kingdom or Disney-MGM, so I suppose those aren't in there. The original book was released in the '80s and there was a reprint in 1992, I think. You can find used copies at Amazon.com - but not many! I can't believe they have not put out any books about the WDW flora since then - or about DLR!

Me (can we say high waisted jeans! :scared1: ), with my DS and DD in 1994, I have always loved this picture (despite my 1990's fashion! :rolleyes1 ) because of the beautiful, colorful tree! And yes, I too take pictures of the flowers and plants there! I thought it was just me! :flower3:

If you're just walking by, you would be like "what the heck is that guy doing? he looks fishy!!". But if you're watching Push AND him, you get it. He puts the microphone up to his mouth at the same time Push talks and you can see his hand in his bag controlling Push. If he moves Push too far away you can notice he moves and follows him. After he makes Push go backstage, he leaves. But he doesn't go through the same backstage door Push does.

What all was in the basket?

The basket itself is beautiful & filled with the red, blue & yellow filler. It had:
The Celebration Mickey & Minnie Plush, Celebration Picture Frame (holds 5x7), a Classic Black Mickey Ears, Autograph Book & Sorcerer Mickey Pen, Lanyard & FP holder, Box of Chocolate Chip Cookies & set of 3 Lollipops. It also had a photopass card in it....which kinda cracked me up since we didn't open it until we got home & you get those for free.
