What to do if I am short just one point!!!

I am in the planning stages of a trip next spring. With banking and borrowing points that I have right now, I am short by just 1 point. :( Anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this?
I could not believe the calculator when I was finished and only needed one point to make my dream come true vacation.

The easiest solution would be to shorten your stay by 1 night. That's what we do when we're pushing the ceiling on our points.

You can also have another member transfer one point to you, if you know someone who'd be willing to "rent" you one point.

could you take either the first or last day and either pay with cash or stay at a value?

We had that for our upcoming trip. We are staying in a studio for the last night instead of the one bedroom.

Yep, it's happened to us too, and we just stayed one night in a moderate before the rest of our DVC ressie started. It's pretty hard to get someone to transfer just 1 point when you only get one transfer in or out in a year.

You could always extend your vacation by 1 night instead of reducing it. I would probably be a lot easier to get someone to transfer you enough points to cover a whole extra night than it would to get only 1 point transfered.

I think the cash option is great if available. We were able to extend our trip by 4 nights by paying discounted cash nights.
