The Drinking mugs or Stickers

I just got my cruise papers, and they said that a sticker will be placed on the room key like the old days for the re-fill. Most of the people say that you have to buy a cup. So which one is it. Who just got back with this info. My sail date is May 9th.:confused:

It's still a refillable MUG as far as I know...no stickers. Sometimes the cruise documents have outdated information.

When we went in February we had coupons in our documents for a free mug for all of us, maybe you should check with your TA, or call Disney...

I think the booklet with the cruise docs IS outdated. In the lower right corner on the last page (inside the back cover) it says 6/00. This was with the docs I received last week! I don't think they were doing the mug program in 2000, were they? No wonder it only refers to the Children's Soda Package and the stickers!

The sticker would be so convenient ( so would complimentary soda). Having to remember the mug everywhere we went during the day was a nuisance. Wonder why they switched it? Cut down on paper cups??

I got the sticker notice on my cruise docs too. I had assumed that they meant that we got the mug for ds, and a sticker was placed on his room key so that they knew the mug belonged to him.

When we cruised in Oct 2000 we bought one mug and they put a sticker on one KTTW card. On Castaway Cay we just showed that card and recieved our "free" can of soda (pop). Don't know if they've changed it or not.

I don't think they use stickers at all anymore. I know I didn't get one in January. I bought the mug and was even able to get it refilled at the bars on Castaway Cay instead of having to get the canned soda. But the booklet that mentions the stickers IS from 2000.
