our family - dh 36, dd 10, ds 6, and me 37 will be going on our first disney cruise on june 15. we received the excursion material yesterday. my husband and i want to pre-book this week. dh prefers to go thru disney. here is our questions: has anyone gone on the french riveria beach rendezvous in st. marten ? also does anyone know anything about the st. thomas beach day at sapphire beach? we are considering these excursions and we don't want to make a mistake if there is something that we should know. thanks for everyone that replys on these boards. i have been soaking up the information like a sponge from these boards. thanks again.

Dianna-how did you get the excursion information? We are on that same cruise-I don't think we are going to book any through the cruise line but I wanted to take a look anyway-

I would recommend booking thru the Disney Cruise Line. They make sure the tours go off reliably.

Now, with the kids, you might not want to miss the trip over to Coral World on St. Thomas. It is a great interactive marine life park. This place is as good or better than any Sea World.

Here's a link.

You should be aware that there is a nudist resort on Orient Beach and you will likely naked people. I mention this because some people are shocked, they speak of nothing else for the rest of their cruise.

Dianna-tn, Welcome to the DCL Forum. It sounds like you have been lurking for a while. Glad to hear from you.

Is that sometimes you will pay the same price for an excursion regardless if you do this yourself or through the ship. I have been on six cruises, and have found this to be the case more than half of the time. Do your homework, and if there is no or little change in price, then i would recommend booking through the ship...

One plus is that if you book through disney the ship will not leave without you. When we were in St. Thomas we were late getting back from St. John but since it was a disney sponcered excusion they held the ship. we were still nervous though! Ann
