Our son is flying from his college in Manchester to meet us at Disney, and will literally be "flying" out of his last class to make it to the airport on time. He learned from a recent travel experience with his father that a male his age carrying just a backpack for his luggage wasn't a smart idea, as he was pulled out randomly for security searches. This time he has one smaller, more "professional looking" suitcase that he is carrying on, and I have advised him to put all those little items in zip-locs to facilitate any potential searches. Maybe the recent haircut will help, too? (lol)

Could someone kindly tell me if he arrives two hours in advance instead of three, will he be cutting it too close? Thank you all for your advice.

USAirways is currently listing Manchester as 90 minute recommended check-in time, so he should be OK with 2 hours.

I won't tell HIM that though, I'll tell him the two-hour window so he will get there within the 90 minute timeframe!

Two hours should be fine! Manchester has been VERY efficient with security. I think it only took Ted and I (at a busy time) 30 minutes to check our luggage and get through security at Thanksgiving.

We're planning on two hours in advance for our trip in two weeks. Just in case!
