We have been at BWV (We're in a 1 BR std view) since Sunday.
There is a water leak (not in our room...below us I think), and they are asking us to move. I haven't spoken to the front desk yet so I don't know what, if anything, they are offering for this major inconvenience and interruption of our vacation.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Do we HAVE any choice in this situation?

Tell them you want a boardwalk view to compensate you for your inconvience.....and be sure they don't charge you the extra pts. You will LOVE the view!!!::yes::

If it's below you, they probably need your room to access the pipes and solve the problem.
My assumption is that they will physically manage as much of the move as possible. I doubt you'll be asked to pack up the refrigerator--just tell them you want everything from your fridge moved to the new room.
I'd suggest packing any unmentionables you aren't comfortable having strangers handle, plus sensitive things like jewelry or laptops, and then let them do all the rest. Yes there is some inconvenience involved, but I'm sure it is very necessary.
If they make the process as seamless as possible, I'd consider a nice comped dinner to be a reasonable trade-off.

Just curious where your room is located. We were at the BWV 2 weeks ago and had a problem with wet carpeting and we insisted on moving out of our room and into another room. We moved from a standard view 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor to a standard view one bedroom on the 4th floor.

Sorry to hear about your inconvenience. As has been said, I am sure that it is a necessary move. Let us know what happens and don't let this ruin a great BWV stay.
