My AAA book had an offer of $79.00 for our 6/8/02 cruise at the Hampton In Cocoa Beach. We are staying there. They have a shuttle to the port. We have never sailed before, and took the word of the guy at the front desk when we booked. He said getting to the port would be no problem. The hotel has a "free" breakfast. The phone # I called was 321-799-4099. I hope I made a wise choice!

When deciding where to stay the night before our cruise for this coming September (WDW or elsewhere) we decided to go with Cocoa Beach. This saves us a good bit of drive time to the ship and our kids can play on the beach for the day before. We booked a room via Hotwire.com and got a nice rate at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront for 54.00 (plus tax and fee) I think the cheapest room at that time is about 90.00 if you booked directly through Hilton. So we saved some $$ and got a oceanfront hotel for the day before we sail!

A popular hotel on this board in the Raddison at Port Canevral. We booked a rate for $99. The provide free shuttle service to the cruise terminal and they have AVIS onsite.

We are staying at the Hyatt at the airport, we got an internet rate of $83, and we will be arriving most likely on a late flight and then useing the DCL transfers this time.

I have profiled most of the lodging options at the Space Coast. You can see this at my web site...

Depending on when you get in (assuming you're flying) you might consider staying in Orlando. I know that Barb and Tony (atipeg) use hotwire or priceline (I can never keep them straight) a lot at Orlando airport.
We just did the internet search thing (because I was afraid if I didn't know exactely which hotel I was out I'd get stuck in a Day's Inn) and we got the Amerisuites NE for $59. We've got free airport shuttle and free breakfast.
When I tried a week later to add a day there on our way back, it had gone up $20, so we ended up booking the Country Inn and Suites by WDW (we're doing a one-day strafing run at the Magic Kingdom on Saturday).
Good luck!
