Does anyone have any good suggestions for using our counter-service meals for breakfast. I really like to save the sit-downs for dinner but find if we do a big counter-service for lunch we are not all that hungry come dinner time.
You won't find too many counter service locations open for breakfast in the parks. Some exist, but they are limited.
Your best bet will be at the resorts. Most resorts have at least one counter service breakfast option. For example; The Mara at AKL, Roaring Forks at the Wilderness Lodge, etc, etc. Those places will offer you your best bet and variety.

Using the DDP for the first time in September (for free! ) Also interested in snack/counter service credit breakfast suggestions in the parks (Starring Rolls, Main Street Bakery?)...staying @Pop but expect the food court to be a mad house :scared1: and don't want to waste precious time....just want to grab something quick when we get to the parks... :thanks:

POP does have amazing CS breakfasts, if you hit it eary shouldn't be a big problem!
We go to Starring Rolls for Break. at least once every trip, also get a great CS breakfast at Sunshine seasons at EPCOT.
BTW, also LOVED the CS breakfast at Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD!

Hi, We also find that doing a CS breakfast and a TS dinner works fo us.(with a snack in the middle ::yes:: ) We usually stay at a DVC resort and have found OKW has a GREAT breakfast platter and BCV offers a nice breakfast crossiant. Or a snack credit gets you a mufffin or yogurt parfait (my personal FAVORITE:thumbsup2 ) Joan

One of our favorite things to do during our vacation is to get a 'snack' breakfast in AK. There is a cart there on the right as soon as you go up the hill (right at the little shop) and they have muffins and danish...etc. They are really big and we always get one on our morning in AK with a drink (using snack credits) and YUMMY! The kids don't normally eat sugary treats for breakfast so it's special for them.
We like eating at the POP for breakfast too, it's not too bad....as far as crowds and they have good selections and it's tasty. We eat a few buffets for breakfast too (Mickey's at Contemporary, Pooh and Tigger's at Crystal Palace...etc).

I think that Pizzafari only is open for breakfast at the Highly crowded time of year, unless this has changed.

Loved Main St. Bakery for breakfast--esp. the French Toast Loaf! The other surprising thing I found that became a favorite was an orange pineapple smoothie wherever I could find them in the parks (Auntie Gravity's at MK and KRNC at MGM), although I only used a snack credit for it. At Capt. Cook's at the Poly, you can get a Tonga Toast platter (same size as at Kona) for 1 CS. We found the Pop food court did not get crowded unless you were there after about 8:30 a.m. and everything we tried there was good.

When we stay at the Values we use 1 CS and 1 Snack Credit for breakfast each morning. DH gets an omlette platter, an orange juice and a grapefruit juice (he doesn't drink coffee) since his plan includes the platter and two drinks, (no dessert at breakfast). I use the snack credit for a chocolate croissant and my refillable mug for coffee. This works for us and the food at the value food courts is good.

Third stay @Pop in September (during free dining  ) and afraid what the food court will be like in the morning! :scared1:
Thought I could just grab something when we got to the parks each morning...never done this before, have always eaten @food court or had a breakfast ADR...

My husband and I split a breakfast combo meal at Sunshine Seasons (in The Land pavilion at EPCOT). It was very good and fueled both of us until our dinner. Of course we had our snacks in between!

Okay I do NOT know about during free dining, but when we had BFast at pop it was EXCELLENT! We enjoyed lunch there a couple times too, but we like BFast even better! They also have a nice selection, so if you can get it between the crowds, getting a good breakfast at pop is a good plan.
Hope you enjoy ALL your food choices! LOl
