We went on a five-day vacation to Sanibel with our friends. We left on Friday and my clothes were fitting nicely. After two days, one pair of pants wouldn't zip at all. Now, at home, most of my clothes are very tight and my eyes are puffy and I don't feel well. Last Thursday I weighed 143 1/2 at Publix and today I weigh 150 1/2!:scared:

I ate what I wanted while on vacation but didn't overeat - I never felt stuffed. We did drink beer and Bloody Marys every night and it was pretty hot, sometimes uncomfortably so because we kept losing power.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? What should I do? It's crazy.

Yes - I have had this happen after a trip. I would drink lots and lots of water. You may actually be getting sick or just constipated from the unusual food/weather/drinks. I also take some metamucil. My Dr. actually suggested this - 2 at each meal with plenty of water. The fiber will help clear out your system.

and lastly..quickly get back to your old eating habits. The weight will drop back off.

This happened to me in April over Spring Break and I'm STILL trying to get the extra weight off! It totally sucks! Just like you, I went with clothes fitting and half way through the trip everyting was TIGHT. Not fun!

I just started a thread a minute ago about going "raw" for a week as I am desperate to get this weight off--it just wont budge!

While vacations are fun, the results aren't often as much when we return. Start back to your healthy lifestyle choices and don't give up. You can get it back and then some!

I'm WISHing that it returns quickly for you. List everything and make those portions smaller, maybe divide those meals in half to eat the same good portions, just split so your body doesn't want to keep holding on to that weight.

I'm glad I'm not the only one but it's pretty incredible, isn't it? I feel like some sort of human sponge. I keep going over everything in my mind hoping to learn from my mistakes. I took out my measuring spoons and feel in control, which is good. I can't pretend I'm happy about it all though.

Well, thanks for your advice and comments. Good luck to us all. ::yes::
