Sign-ups for the Holiday/Seasons Completed Page Swap are this Sunday, June 22. I'd like some input from y'all in terms of what you are looking for with this swap.
Basic Info:
Sign-up: 6/22
Prototype Due: 8/18
Due: 9/29
Limits on sign-ups: Those that I have not swapped with before are limited to 2 groups total. Everyone is limited to one group of each type on their initial sign-up so that everyone has a chance to participate. After everyone gets one group, I will open remaining groups for additional sign-ups.
This is what I'm looking at for set-up. There can be multiple groups for each category.
Seasons - 2 page 12x12
Spring
Summer
Autumn
Winter
Holidays - Broken into groups - Do you want 1 or 2 page 12x12? I'm thinking 2 but that is just me.
Spring/Summer Holidays
Valentine's Day
St. Patrick's Day
Easter
Fourth of July
Fall/Winter Holidays
Halloween
Thanksgiving
Christmas
New Year's Eve
Christmas - 2 page 12x12
5 spots
Birthday - 2 page 12x12 - Would y'all like this to be combined with some other general life things? If so, what?
4 or 5 slots
Christmas - 2 page 8x8
5 spots
I really can't think of anything else at this point since this was supposed to just cover holidays, seasons and birthdays. I would be open to a group for general pages if y'all want that.
Please comment/add/change as you would like. Our swaps are for everyone and I think they should fit everyone's needs so I like to be democratic with creating the groups. I look forward to your input!

What about a Christmas only group in 8x8?

I like that idea.
I would like to participate in this swap, but I have so much on my plate right now and I can't even think about this one.

I would like to see a Christmas only 12x12 group. I only use 12x12 pages for my family album and always have tons of Christmas pictures to scrap.

Me too...not that I haven't ended up in swaps one way or another. :rotfl2: It's not due until the end of September, so it would be after the ABC stuff is due. I'm going to be doing some traveling then, so I really think I have to sit this one out.

I like the 12x12 Xmas. Are you going to have a few groups of each, cause I know the holiday ones will fill up fast!

8x8 and 12x12 Christmas groups are fine. I thought about doing that but wasn't sure it would work. I know that I have a lot of Christmas pages also so that kind of group would work well.
Buffy brought up the idea of not requiring 4 4x6 mats on each layout and rather doing 2 4x6 and 3 or more smaller mats. That is totally fine with me. What do y'all think?

:rolleyes1 :wave2:
Not super small but I've sen some cute layouts with smaller pics too. Just an idea.

Are you thinking something like 3x3? 'Cause I think that would be cute! Plus, if you didn't want to put pics, you could use them as embellishment mats or, if you are a crazy journaler like I am, you can use them for more journaling space.

The sizes I use a lot 2x3, 3x3, 3x4 or 4x4

I use tons of different size picture- very few are actually 4 by 6 so I would be fine with that.

same here -- especially for events like bdays and Christmas ---fit a lot of photos on a page that way.

I'm all for the smaller size mats as I rarely scrap an uncropped 4x6. Now that they are printing digi pics in the proper aspect ratio, my pics look even stranger on the bog 4x6 mats.

this is like what I was talking about. The 2 biggest could be 4x6 or 5x7 and the smaller could 4x4.

As long as there is room for at least 4 photos on a 2 pg 12x12 layout we should be all set.

I really like that idea. I wouldn't want the largest mat to be larger than 4x6 though. I would never be able to fill a 5x7.
Honestly, I had to do two smaller mats on my AK layout for the current CP swap. I didn't have room for 2 4x6 mats on the page after I made room for a map so I put two smaller boxes instead.

This is the kind of page that I use most often. I love Becky's sketches.

I rarely use a full 4 by 6 pic - myself
I would prefer variety of sizes.

I like that idea. Hmm, maybe I would rather have 12x12 instead of 8x8 after all.

I like using the 4x6 and the smaller sizes. Some of my photos I keep 4x6, but there are many more that I crop. Also, the 4x6 photo mats (which end up being at least 4.5x6.5) take up a lot of room on a page.

Me too! I swear at least every other layout is a Becky page.
