western versus eastern caribbean

Ok for those of you who have done both which did you like better?
We did the eastern last December and are doing the western this coming Dec.. I hope it will be as warm. When I look at the map the eastern goes so much farther away I just hope I won't be dissapointed. Anyone done both before??

we did Eastern , the Western does not start til MAY11,2002
but we will be happy to give full report when we get back....
