Need your help.

As most of you in Florida probably know, there is an Amendment on the November ballot to amend our state constitution to ban same sex marriage. Many on the names on the petition to get the amendment on the ballot have come into question. Example, my Grandfather's name is on the petition, yet he did not sign it. We have a local news reporter who is interested in doing a story on this, but we need more "questionable" signatures.

Please take time go look over this list of signatures to see if any one you know may be suspect on this list. From what I have gathered, they may have "snagged" names of elderly people who have had a tendency to vote republican in the past. You can search the list by last name, or the street you live on. If you find someone you doubt signed the petition call them and ask them if they did. If they are willing to talk to a local news reporter please send me a PM and I will forward it to the reporter.

I've looked Orlando Mike. Some of my neighbors are there, but I'm not surprised by that. :(

No family or true friends though.

Wish I could help, but none of my family or friends have ever been listed as living in another state. Here's to hoping the "law' fails and it's allowed to pass to marry anyone you want.

My two brothers live in florida full time, and my parents own a vacation home here - none were on the petition.

I checked again.

The only name on it that I recognize is still the co-worker that I can't stand, and have no doubt that he signed it.

I'll keep spreading the word to check the list!

I wonder if the people who signed the petition actually knew what they were signing. I did not see anyone I know on the list.

If they only knew how hurtful they are by thinking this way. It's very sad.

I looked again too. None of my family! And I made sure that my uncle (who just passed away this year) was not on it, nor my other uncle who is...family!

None of my family is on the list, but a co-worker is. I'm going to talk to her about it since she is pretty open minded about most things although she does attend a non-denominational church that isn't so open minded at times. I wonder if she signed the petition or the church signed all the members up. It's been known to happen at other churches before.

WOW!! Several of my neighbors are listed. And 1 who is very friendly with my and my roommate and he knows.
