We will be staying at DVC for 6 nights followed by 3 at Pop. Going to be on the DDP and wondering if most peeps on DDP order food for the room? It will just be DS and I. We will need some breakfast items and maybe an adult beverage for me. :thumbsup2 Is it worth it to place an order from one of the places that delivers? We will not have a rental car.

Hi Marie! On DDP, we just go to the DVC resort's grocer (each has it's own) and bring back to our room the few items we need for a few snacks and some alcohol (which is not a lot as most of our food/alcohol consumption is in the parks). With DDP, you do get a lot of food - and probably don't need that much in your room. I wouldn't bother ordering groceries when on DDP.

While using the DDP, we go to the Winn Dixie and get some easy breakfast items so we can eat breakfast in the room before heading out to the parks each day. We also might pick up some fresh fruit to have for snacking. I also put 2-3 microwave popcorn bags in our luggage for munchies (just in case).

It's the fruit that I miss most, but not worth getting a whole order. I just pay whatever Disney wants for the bananas! I do pack a box of the cereal I like in my suitcase.

We usually purchase the DDP and we still place a grocery order with Marge at WeGoShop. Especially if you are wanting to keep an adult beverage in the room.
We usually order adult beverages, soft drinks, milk and fruit. We also order washing detergent so we can do our laundry.

Even with DDP, we get some easy breakfast items (i.e. Cereal and milk), some fruit, some sacks and bottled water. We get the basic DDP, so we'll have quick breakfast before we leave for the parks, then early lunch and 5 o'clock dinner. Works for us.

When we went last December we actually used our snack credits to purchase things like bagles, chips, milk, and other stuff to keep in our room. I think we even left with 2 or 3 snack credits we didnt use..
If it is the same as last year you can use a snack credit to purchase anything under $4.00... Which is alot when you are talking about breakfast and snack items....
You can't use them to purchase adult drinks but they had a pretty good selection in the general store at OKW.

Never used Wegoshop. Is there a minimum order? What is the delivery charge, and where do they deliver the food to? Bell services or the room?
TIA

Thanks for all of your suggestions! :) When we were there in August, we were able to use snack credit for the box of doughnuts which we used for breakfast most days. I too would like to know the answers to DeeCee's questions if anyone knows. I am now thinking some pop in the room might be nice and to pay $3 for a bottle at the resort is just too much!

There is no minimum order with WeGoShop. The delivery charges are posted on their website. The charges are based on the amount of your order. I think the minimum is $17.
They will deliver to your room or to bell services. You just tell them where you want them to deliver.

what is ddp?
DDP is the Disney Dining Plan. You pay a set amount (depending on the plan), per person, per night and depending on the plan you get a min of 1 counter service meal, 1 table service meal and 1 snack each night you are at the resort.

You can use the snack credit in any of the hotel stores or any of the parks. Most items that qualify are marked with a CS ddp emblem.

We never use the DDP but we always make sure to hit a store (Super Walmart the last few times) to stock up on water bottles, snacks, breakfast items and soda.
