View Full Version : Am i too late to book ADRs for september?
Hi,
due to not know dates until a few days ago, i have only just booked the free DDP for the middle of september. I am dreading calling o make my ADRs to find that everything has been booked, like it sounds like!!
Do you think there is a chance there will be any space?
Some of the restaurants im thinking of are
- Liberty Tree Tavern,
- Raglan Road,
- Boma (dinner),
- Sci Fi Dine In,
- Le Cellier,
- 'Ohanas (dinner),
- The Wave
- California Grill (long shot i know!),
- San Angel Inn
- Tony's Town Square
It's taking me a while to plan where we will be, so by the time i have figured it out, less table will be available
thanks!

We have friends who booked free dining a couple of weeks ago. They had to take some off times, but they still got reservations. They are doing mostly character meals for their little ones, but they got Cinderella's Royal Table(lunch), Crystal Palace (dinner), 1900 PF (breakfast), Chef Mickey's (breakfast), and Donald's Safari (breakfast). Good luck!

Just call. I booked for September a while ago, but just called today to add some ADRs since we upped to the Deluxe Dining. I got everything I wanted. Had to adjust some times, but got the restaurants.

We are going the last weekend of Aug. and first week of Sept. I booked almost everything we wanted within the past three weeks (1900 PF, Coral Reef, Chef Mickey's, Akershus-and all at decent times). The ones that eluded us were 'Ohana and anything with the Fantasmic package in HS. I tried Yak and Yeti this past week and they are booked solid also. If anything comes up as a no just keep calling back daily, you might be pleasantly surprised at what will open up closer to the day. :) Good luck!

A friend of ours who had been thinking of joining us in September finally committed to the trip, so just last week I went around changing my ADRs from 2 to 3 people (The CM basically had to book a table for three and then cancel the table for 2), and I managed to get almost everything converted to 3 which means that they all had extra availability. The only one that she couldn't find space for was the GF Garden View Tea, which isn't even a DDP restaurant, and my new dinner time for The Plaza is 4:00pm. :( But Oh well.
Restaurants that I moved to 3 (Keeping some just the two of us. ::yes:: ): Yak and Yeti, The Plaza, Biergarden, Coral Reef, Raglin Road, and Boma Breakfast.
you should be pretty good at getting places. I agree with other posters you may have to settle for late dinners or do lunches instead. There will be restaurants available for good times if you're flexible about the place. We went last minute once and it wasn't a big deal.
I think places like Le Cellier and a few others will be tough to get any ressies. Also, the Fantasmic package will probably be full up.
Sometimes, you can call periodically especially closer to your trip and check for cancellations and get a restaurant that wasn't available or a better time to a restaurant you already have down. I think especially a few days from your times or on the same day would be the best time to try for a change.

Even Le Cellier you can sometimes get if you're willing to eat a little later. We actually prefer 8 PM or a little later, and those times are often still open.
We've seen IllumiNations enough times, and walking out through Epcot after the fireworks crowds are gone is one of my favorite things to do at WDW...especially the last night of the trip. We often take a leisurely walk all the way around the lake, just to enjoy the ambiance.

Folks, do not be afraid to call up WDW Dining while you are there on-site to see if they have reservations available for places you'd like to eat. I have booked Akershus a couple of hours before dinner and a few others at the last minute. They will get cancellations. Also, please, if you are not going to use a reservation cancel it! You can cancel them at any Guest Services location at a hotel or the parks. It only takes a minute or so to do.

I just called to make my ADR's and I wasn't able to get a couple of places....Cinderella's Castle was out completely and I had to settle for lunch at Tony's and Sci-Fi instead of dinner....I suggest that everyone calls asap!!!
well i called yesterday, and managed to get about half of my first choice restaurants (not at first choice times) and the other half were 2nd or 3rd choices.
But at least i have some ADRs - better than nothing! i will keep calling incase of cancelations!
thanks!

Ohana is the only one I can't get earlier than 9:30 the entire week. I will keep trying though, that is the only one I really wanted to eat at too of course :rotfl:

I had thought about upgrading to the Deluxe, but that's so much food and I'm trying to keep this trip as cheap as possible, but it's very tempting!!

We just booked on Sunday. I sitll haven't figured out our TS, well two of them. I managed to book WCC for a late lunch and that is it. I want a CM for breakfast so I'll keep trying that. But honestly we'd rather not do the TS and spend more time in the parks. But rather then waste the credits I'll keep thinking and try to book something we can use.

I booked mine a few days ago for 1st week in September and got everything I wanted, times and restaurants.
I was pleasantly surprised, when compared to 1 year ago.... I tried to make ADRs for the same dates and had to make several compromises.
