Job vent

I finished uni in 2006 & after struggling to find enough work in the area I qualified in I decided to apply to be an Ambulance Trainee Technician. So in July 07 I sent of the application form. Never heard anything for months & then I get a letter out of the blue in November saying I have been successful in the application process & they will write to me at a later date to do the entrance exam.

In January I got the letter saying to attend for the exam & fitness test. When I got there it just the exam as they are now changing the fitness test as too many people keep failing it:confused3. I passed the exams & went for an interview was told I would be starting in September if successful. Was successful with that & was now just waiting to see when my fitness test was going to be. I failed the initial test just by a very small margin, I passed the fitness retest no problem. Great now all I had was my medical. I got the letter congratulating me on passing all the selection processes etc but as I read more of the letter the more I got confused, new job title etc.

Upon calling them today I have found out they are no longer recruiting external candidates for the technicians role & they are in the process of changing the role in which they will write to me at a later date in a month or so.

I'm angry that they have misled people & have been very disorganised. The new job role etc is not something they have come up with overnight.

No wonder your angry:furious: , they have had plenty of time to tell you of the changes, its about a year since you first applied and you have had to go through numerous stages to get to were you are now. Good luck and sending you a:hug:
