:love2: I have been lurking for a while now and I am excited to be able to start planning my own wedding!!

Cast:
Me (Nicola): I just graduated from college with a degree to teach elementary school!!! I am currently looking for a job in Oregon while we are living in Texas (more on the move later). I am origanlly from England but moved to the states when I was 8. My family didnt think we would be here long so we traveled alot. One year we went to disneyland at thanksgiving and disney world at christmas. I had not been to Disney World since I was 9 ir 10 until Jan. 2006!

DF (Andrew): Andrew was born and raised in Oregon! He taveled to Disney World many times during his life. He also went to disney in Jan 2006!

How we met:
Well you can see that we both went to Disney World in Jan. 2006. We met Jan. 9th 2006 on arrival day of the College Program!! That right we are another couple who expericned the Magic of being a CP!! The first night my room mates and I invied the guys next door to go to Bennigans with us. Here is a picture of that first night! (we are the two in the back)

But I can say it was not love at first sight. I moved to florida in a relationship that was going downhill. I took me a while to relize this and it was Andrew who eventually led me away from that relationship into the best great relationship that we have :love:

Andrew and I have birthdays 3 days apart in Feb. So a whole group of us went out to dinner to help us celerbrate our birthdays!! That night Andrew gave me my birthday present and in the card he included a coupon for a date! I worked nights and he worked days so it was a couple of weeks later that we got to go on our first date. We went to Bomas! It was a wonderful evening with great food and even better company!! A couple of weeks later we shared our first kiss at the end of wishes!! We spend the rest of the time we lived in Vista enjoyingour time together. But that had to end. At the end of our program I had to come home to Texas to finish school and Andrew had to move back to Oregon. But that only last 3 months and Andrew moved to Texas at the end of that summer where we have been living ever since.:cloud9: :cloud9:

The Engagement:

Andrew and I have taken two trips to Disney World and 1 trip to Disneyland since he has moved to Texas. Last year we started planning the trip of all trips. It was my graduation gift! We rented DVC points from Andrews mom, did the dining plan, bought P&P Party tickets!! We where excited and all set to go. We left on Tuesday May 27th. I knew the engagement was comming because I had picked out my ring. But I did not know when during the trip it would happed. After 4 days of no ring we spent Sat. May 31 at the AKL pool. We then got ready and went to the P&P Party. We watched the parade adn started walking to Fantasyland. On the way we saw Cindys coach. I am a picture snob so we HAD to stop and get pictures.

Then Andrew got on one knee and asked me to be his wife

Of course I said YES!! I guess Andrew did not hear me because later he asked me what my answer was. We enjoyed the fireworks and the rest of the evening!!

I am excited that I get to start planning my DFTW. Im not sure of any details yet but we are hoping for July 2009. We are also moving to Oregon next month so that Andrew can finish school. We are driving and staying 5 nights at Disneyland on the way!


Well thats all for now. I should be studying for a test that I have Monday so I better go start that.

Thank You everyone!! I am excited to be planning a disney wedding!

While I was in Orlando last week my mom and I did a site visit. We met with Krisiti Davis. After meeting for about an hour at Frank's, Kristi took us to see the Living Seas, and American Adventure Parlor. I LOVED:love: Living Seas, not so much the Parlor. After we left Kristi My mom and I went to see Ariel's. This location was also not what I was looking for. When I got home I showed Andrew the pictures and he agreed with me about the living seas!! We still have alot of things to work out but we are thinking: WP, living seas, Lower UK dessert party!!

In April I took one of the qualifying exams to become a teacher in Texas. I failed by 1 point:mad: Well i took it again on Monday and I PASSED!!! Im super excited:banana: :banana: :cool1:

Also over the last couple of days Andrew and I have decided to have an escape wedding instead of a wishes wedding. We are only inviting our families so it will be 10 maybe 11 people total. We are hopeing for the 2:30 WP, dinner, then watch wishes on the Grande 1. We are really excited about this. We will then have two home receptions. One in Houston and one in Portland!! The Houston one will be more formal and the one in Portland will be more of an outdoor party in the park.

Now we have to pick a date.

We have changed the date!! When we started planning we looked at June or July 2009. Now we have decided on MARCH 23, 2009. I will hopefully have a job teaching this school year and this is during my spring break. Im really excited about this change but this only give me 9 Months :eek: Now I need to see if Randy is available and start looking for a dress.

Sadly we wont be down to disney until the wedding. We have decided to go for an Escape wedding, so no planning session. We will be in town for a week for the wedding, we can try and meet up during that time. Less than 9 months :eek: :cool1:

I not sure about costs but yes we can do a DP with only 11 people. I think it is something like $22 per person + $12.50 viewing fee + the $200 for the site + tax and service fees. Morocco is the only site available for this. My WC said I can book it at 8 months and hasnt told me more than that.

Great dresses! They're all very flattering to you. I say keep looking, though - most girls get a feeling when they've found the right dress. Or, if they are me, they try on 60 dresses and finally just buy the one that makes their waist look smallest. :rotfl:

This may sound weird but you have lovely shoulders.. I think #4 accents that the best but I don't think the middle panel is as flattering as some of the others. I would look for more strapless dresses with a soft sweetheart neckline like that, though, you carry it SO well :thumbsup2

2500 miles later I am now a resident of Portland, OR!!! It was a long boring trip but 4 days at Disneyland was fun!!

Before we left Houston we found the location for our at home location!:banana: :banana: We are going to have it at the Marriott about 30 min from our house. There is a $5000 min for 50 people (starting at $77 per person) and that inlcudes food, 4 hour bar, cake, centerpeices, table linens, and a room for Andrew and I that night!! I know we will be going over the $5000 but we think it is a great deal!! Im really excited to have found a place and got to see it before we left Houston, as I do not know when I will be back.

7 days until the 8 month mark and we can book our wedding:banana: :cool1: :banana: There is still so much to do still but I want to sucure a date and time before I start doing things. I need to go dress shopping again soon. My mom is flying to Portland next month to go shopping with me, but I am going to go look before she comes.

Since we just moved to Portland neither Andrew or I have a job yet. I am still hoping to get a teaching position but no luck yet. Until then I have to make some money some how so I have a job interview at Macy's tommorrow.

Wow its been a while since I updated this!

Andrew and I moved into our aprtment last week!! We are excited to be on our own!! We have a couch and a bed so it feels so empty.

In wedding news, I bought earings, shoes, and a headband. I am unsure if I want a veil or not but I will decide that when my dress comes in in Novemeber!!

I have also booked CRT for breakfast the morning after the wedding! It will be just Andrew and I, we are really excited. Now I have to wait until sometime in Oct. to book the rest of our meals. We will also be staying in a studio at AKL with our DVC points for the 4 night after the wedding. The night before I have a one bedroom booked at BWV for my mom, sister and I to get ready in. Andrew will be staying with his family.

I cant wait to wear my gown!! (I really do love calling it a gown!!) The shot on the beach is a recreation of a photo that Andrew Loves that was taken a couple of months after we met. We went to Vero Beach with our roommates from the CP. We took a picture like this with the ocean in the back ground. Ill see if I can dig it up somewhere. Im sure Andrew will want pictures like this on our wedding day!!

I had a phone conference with Rosie in floral the other day and im really excited to see my flowers on the day of the wedding!! I was looking at outside florists and it was too expensive. But one of them sent me a picture of a bouquet and I fell in LOVE!! So if this is yours....I LOVE IT!! (hope you dont mind that im using it for inspiration)

My sister (MOH) will have 1 dozen roses in the 2 or 3 shades of pinks that I have and then Andrews sisters will have 7 roses each all in one shade of pink!! The roses will be 75% tied in chocolate brown ribbon!! :banana:

For the dessert party there will be black linins on the tables with red napkins under cylinders with gel and the light up cubes with glitter. Im having so much pink that I decided to try and decorate the DP for Andrew. He LOVES :lovestruc Jessica Rabbit so I thought the red would be a great touch for him. I might try and find some Jessica Rabbit figurines to bring and have placed on the tables!! Im really excited and I want to share with Andrew but im going to try and keep it a secret!!

So today Andrew and I rearanged our scheduals to go and pick up my dress :cheer: I dropped him off at work and hurried over to the dress shop, got all my stuff together and went to the front door...Well dont you know they were CLOSED today:( Something about building matinence. I was upset but Im dropping Andrew off at work again tomorrow and trying again..Ummm maybe I should call first. They dont take appointments and when I talked to them last week they did not mention that they would be closed today. At lease I did not show up and they have closed down...that would have been really bad.

Im flying home this weekend! (Yea for getting out of this cold!!) I am meeting with the Marriott on Friday to do a taste testing (for my Houston reception)!! But first on Thursday I am meeting with the cake people to look at cakes and then on Friday I am meeting with the linen people to pick out linens!! Then Friday night my moms friends are hosting a bridal shower for me and then Saturday we are going to the Bridal Extravaganza!!!! Im really excited to be going home and to be able to do some planning!!

I sent my escape planning pages back to Tanis last week so im waiting for a response from her!! and I talked to Rosie again last week and I think my floral is planned!!

Here is a quick trip report from my trip to Houston

I landed in Houston on Thursday at noon. My mom picked me up and we headed out for some lunch before we had to meet the cake people. Before I left for Houston Andrew adn I talked about cakes and decided that we wanted a pink and brown madd hatter type cake. We ate and headed over to the cake place. After I walked in and introduyced my self the cook asked me where my big binder of pictures was. Well I did not have one. It was all in my head. As I was looking around the room she asked me what type of cake I wanted and right in front of me was a picture of a brown and pink madd hatter cake. I said I want that one!! and pointed to the picture. Well that made it nice and easy!! So we talked about the details and I have to say I am VERY excited to see what my cake will look like! I now have to find some sort of topper so any ideas will be very helpful (im not using flowers so no flowers!!!) Then we talked about the grooms cake!! Andrew is getting a yellow Lego! Im excited to see how that turns out!! That night I went with my mom to play POKENO and won third place ($20) and my mom won first!!

Then on Friday we where supoed to meet with the linen people but she had to reschedual!! so we went shopping!! That night my moms friend threw me a bridal shower!! It was at someones house and they had food from a local italian resturant!! It was soo god and so much fun! There was 15 of us and it was a fun evening!! And Andrew and I have alot of shopping to do!! gotta love the girft cards!!

Saturday was the Houston Bridal Extravaganza!!! So we woke up and drove down to my sisters apt. We got breakfast and headed over to the convention center. Boy was it crowded!!! I had fun but im not sure that my mom did. Oh well. Now I getr to go through and e-mail all the people I talked to and find a DJ and photographer. That night I went with my parents to Wine Tasting. A group of my parents friends get together and try differnt wines. Not my thing but better than sitting at home.

Sunday I didnt do much. Ate some really good food!! My mom cooked a Sunday dinner (Chicken, gravy, veg, ect...) SOOO good!! I also booked my flights tyo Orlando for the wedding!! My dad used some of his air miles and upgraded us to first class from Portland to Orlando!!! Ill be able to get on and take care of my dress with out having to worry about it!! Andrew does not know that he did this for us and im not planning on telling him. We are taking the red eye so the first class seats will be nice!! Im excited about that!

Monday morning was when I reschedualed the linens for, so we got up and went to meet them. I decided on brown table cloths with pink chair bows!! I am excited to see what all of this looks like! After we met them we went and met my sister for lunch then did some more shopping. Then it was time for me to fly home. The flight was offering flight credit because the flight was full and I almost took it but I would not have landed until midnight adn I was back at work at 7am this morning so i decided not to (but that $$ would have been nice for our honeymmoon flights)

Then today after work I booked my first dress fitting! I have a few pictures from this weekend but I can not find my cable. So ill look and post some later!! Andrew also tald me that his mom would like to throw me a shower!! I was not expecting that but it will be very nice if she does! Well I think that is it for now!! Only a couple of months to go!!!

Disney Fairytale Weddings - Tanis Armstrong: B
I liked working with Tanis but she was hard to get in touch with at times. It made it harder when she was out for the last few months of last year. I did not like John and I did not do much planning during that time. She was really nice on the day of the wedding but I think I got more information on what was going on from Randy.

Disney Fairytale Weddings - Rosie Carabbia: A+
I loved talking to Rosie on the phone. She had some great ideas and listened to mine! My personal flowers were PERFECT!!! The BM flowers were what I wanted but I think they are REALLY over priced but that is not her fault!!

Photography - Randy Chapman: A+ (Haven’t gotten pictures yet)
Just like everything people have said about him in the past, I LOVED HIM!!! He knew what he was doing and really helped the day run smoothly. When I forgot the marriage license in the room, he reassured me that it would be taken care of. He relayed the information from me to the DFTW people. Truly amazing!! He was early and stayed late and was waiting for us for the DP!! I can’t wait to see all my pictures. I watched one of the videos that FIL had running for us (he had 3 cameras set up) Andrew and I never saw him in front of us but you can see him zipping all over the WP in the video.

Officiate - Ron Rosenzweig: A
I had read mixed reviews about him in the past, but he was nondenominational so we went with him. We had no problems and the ceremony ran smoothly. I would recommend him to anyone!

Disney Staff: A
The limo driver was nice (he did end up keeping our rose petals, he told us that Andrew’s family took everything from the limo but he had them up front with him) The Violinist was really nice. My BIL played something when he was in high school so he knows music. He asked her to play something and was able to play it for him! I didn’t really talk to her but my family did.

Mears driver: A
The driver for the DP was really nice. When we got backstage he went to the wrong area and then asked us if we knew where to go….ummm isn’t that his job. He did figure it out!! After the DP he took my parents back to their resort. This was not the original plan but he had no problem doing it! (we did still have time left but he could have said nope this is what I was told to do and its what im doing!)

MK Photoshoot - Amy Alexander:A+ (dont have pictures yet)
I LOVED working with her!! She was really nice and really worked hard to get some great shots (I have not seen anything yet) I would have like some more shots on Main Street (we didnt get any) She picked us up at 5:00am and we did not get back to AKL until 9:00. We did both MK and EPCOT. We then did our honeymoon shoot at AKL. She waited while we went and changed then spent 30min around the resort with us. She would move things around to get the shot. It was alot of fun!! and we LOVED her!! If our pictures are anything like what we have seen from her I will be really excited!!!

Day One!!
Our flight left at 11:59 pm on Wednesday March 18th. I was originally supposed to work that morning but they had over scheduled for the week so I got the day off. I spend the day doing last minute shopping and packing!! Andrew had a final that night before we left. After Andrew finished his final and got home his cousin picked us up and took us to the airport!! Flying with a huge dress is not really fun. My dad upgraded us to first class so we got to get on the plane first. I had not told Andrew that we were flying first so when they called for first to load the plane I told him to go get on!! He told me he kind of figured it out but he was really excited to be up in first!!! When we got on the plane and I asked the flight attendant if we could put my dress in the coat closet. She said yes…well there was another person with a big white bridal bag. When she got on she pretty much DEMANDED that they hang her dress up. She was so rude to the flight attendant. The conversation went something like the:

Lady: Can you hang my dress up.

FA: the closet is small and we already have a dress hanging up, there also has to be room for any coats. There really isn’t any room.

Lady: Well my dress is more important (she turns to guy holding dress and says I WANT IT HUNG UP)

They did end up hanging up her dress, they shoved it under mine. She was really rude.
I guess now I’m onto day two.

DAY TWO
Flight was really uneventful and we landed him Houston. Switched planes and we were finally on our way to Orlando!!!! We land and head to pick up our rental car. I had found a great deal on a car. I think we ended up paying about $215 for 10 days. When the lady first printed out the slip to go get our car the paper said $450…I was like ummmm no..She had not put in all the codes for me. Finally we had our car and we headed to fort Wilderness to meet up with the rest of his family. We stayed with them for the first 3 nights.

Day three: Friday 3/20
I have to say the beds in the cabins are the most uncomfortable I have slept on in a while.
Friday morning Andrew and I went to go get our marriage license. We had thought about doing it by mail but we knew we would have the time and I thought it would be great pictures!!! The original plan was to get up and get an early start but of course that did not happen. As we were leaving Disney property Tanis called. She just wanted to check in and go over any last minute details. As Andrew drove towards the court house he kept seeing all the cool buildings. He kept telling me to take pictures.

On the way back to Disney we stopped at the NIKE outlet store to look at shoes. I didn’t find anything. While I was looking at shoes Andrew talked to his family and arranged to meet up with them at Animal Kingdom. When we finally made it to Animal Kingdom his family was riding Safari. So we watched the parade

and met them in the trails by the Safari exit. When Andrew and I did the CP he was a safari truck driver so he wanted to ride again. We walked right on the truck and had it all to ourselves. No line at all.

Next we had fast passes for Everest (well the rest of his family did, his mom does not ride and did not think to get one so I could ride so I went up with them and asked if I could ride with my couple and they let me in!!)]

I don’t really remember what we did the rest of the day. I know we went to MK but that’s about all I remember. Some lady gave us a hand full of fast passes that we used a couple of. I do remember as we walked through MK Andrews dad Bob splashed some of the water that he was carrying onto Andrews youngest sisters head. She asked what was that and I told her a bird pooped on her. The look on her face was priceless.

I know sometime this evening we eat dinner and I think we rode Space Mountain and Buzz. Then it was time for another horrible night at the cabins. (WORST BED EVER)

We spent Saturday at the parks. I did not keep a journal during the trip and I have no idea what we did the entire day. So I will share pictures that I know are from this day!!! (Ill fill in things that I do remember.

As part of the BM gifts to Andrews sisters we did the pick a pearl at Japan (I also got to pick on!!) we had his sisters pick the oyster and then they got to see their pearl, but they did not see it as a necklace until we gave it to them the next day (I bought chains at sears before we left). I got the biggest one of the day and when we went back a couple of days later to have mine set in a necklace the girl remembered me.

Day 5: 3/22
I remember more from this day so the recap should be a little longer!!
This is the day that my family finally arrived. The plan was for me to get my nails done and then meet them. So I started out my day looking for a place to get my nails done. I drove around for a while. The places that I found where all closed. I really wanted to get acrylic nails done and I knew that the places on property did not do them but I could not find anywhere so I was about to go see what was available on property. I even called Periwigs but no one answered the phone. I finally found a place by Winn Co. They were able to see me right away. They did my toes first and then my nails. My toes looked great! They lasted really well!! My nails not so much. They looked good for that day and the next but I think they started falling off by day 4 that I had them and they were totally gone by the time we headed home a week later. But at least they looked great on the wedding Day!!! While I was getting my nails done my mom called! They had landed in Orlando and headed to DTD for some lunch! So I said I would meet them their. Once we met up they asked about the schedule for the rest of the day. I wanted everyone to meet at the boardwalk at 5:30 and it was already getting close to 3. They still had to find their resort, check in and change so we parted ways. I headed back to the boardwalk to check in and meet up with Andrew. While I was getting my nails done Andrew went to the parks with his family.
When we checked in to the Boardwalk they could not find my reservation. Andrews mom (Wendy) had booked the room for me using her DVC points. I had the reservation number with me and they told me that the reservation had been canceled. NOT GOOD! I asked to see a manager because this was not going to work for me. I needed a room. Everyone was getting their hair and make-up done in this room. I was not happy. Finally the manager found our reservation. When Wendy had made changes to the reservation it had some how got changed into my sisters name. When they went looking for my name they could not find it and my sister is married so it was under her married name. Not a fun thing to happen to a bride the day before her wedding.
When we got to our room I had a great view of the boardwalk! I was really excited! Andrew and I had stayed in a “Boardwalk View” before but we were off to the side. This time we got a room right about the store! I loved it!

Since we had an escape wedding we did not get a rehearsal (not that we really needed one) but we did do a rehearsal dinner! We wanted something fun so we decided to do Hoop Dee Doo!! It was soo much fun. After everyone got to the Boardwalk off we went to the show. As we waited at the bus stop I asked who had the tickets. Well Andrews Mom had not thought of this before now. So they went running back to the concierge desk in the hotel to get the tickets. I knew tat they could have gotten them when we got there but we were unsure of how to do this. As the bus to MK pulled up they came running out! The bus driver would have waited but they made it!

We checked in and waited for dinner. We did the group picture. The one that they brought to the table my BIL Andrew looked… well he looked like his normal self. (He is an interesting person) We had a better one on our camera so we didn’t buy it.

During the part they ask for anniversaries or honeymooners my family made a fuss and the actors came over to ask what was going on. Well of course they said we were getting married the next day. They asked us the details and told every in the audience to be at the WP the next day at noon!! They sang a song and got us to get up and dance. It was a lot of fun!

Toward the end of the show Andrew got picked to go up on stage. He hates to do things like this. But he knew it would make me happy and went along with it!! It was so much fun to watch him make a fool of himself!! He was the Indian.

When the guy playing Daniel Boon (I think that who is was supposed to be) died, Andrew got down on the ground and in a tantrum throwing way hit his fists on the ground and said “NO I DON’T WANT HIM TO DIE” it was great!! I couldn’t breathe I was laughing so hard.

Day 5 Part 2:
Once we made it back to the boardwalk we had Andrews family go back to their room and took my family to mine. Since we had gone to the Hoop-dee-doo we did not get to give out the gifts that we had bought for people. Since my dad and Andrew (BIL) had to get back to their hotel since it was getting late we gave my family their gifts first. When I worked at the Disney store last year I got 2 1 day park tickets for free. We gave them to them and we also made reservations for them to have lunch with an imaginer. We gave them enough on a gift card to cover the costs (it did not end up being enough but they didn’t mind since they had the park tickets as well)

We got my mom earrings. I looked forever for something that I thought that she would like. I ended up getting her some at Macys.

The plan was to get my dad some mickey mouse cufflinks before we left Portland. But the online store that I ordered from could not get them to me in time. (Backordered) SO I looked when we got there and all I found was the pair with the rhinestones in it. My dad is not a flashy person so we decided against that and ended up getting him nothing (I need to figure something out b/c I feel bad about this.) During the week after the wedding I found that the jewelry store on main street had other cufflinks
After we said good night to my dad and BIL we left my mom and sister in my room (I made them stay with me the night before) and headed to his family’s room. We handed out the gifts to his family. We gave his mom and step dad a gift card and made reservations from them at artist point. They go to Disney all the time but never go to eat at some of the nicer places. We gave his sisters tote bags, their necklaces and other things in their bags. They LOVED everything!

Wedding Day!!! Part One
So the night before the wedding I did not sleep well at all. By the time we got done with everything the night before it was already late when I went to bed. And then I woke up at 4:30 then 5:30 I think I woke up more during the night but I don’t remember. At 5:30 I decided to just turn the TV on and watch for a while since everyone would start to show up at 6am anyway!
So before the wedding I decided that Andrews mom and sisters would come to the room and get their hair done first then go abck to their room and spend the rest of the time with Andrew. So right at 6:00 they showed up! Right on time! Soon after Ana and her assistant showed, up closly followed by the lady from Carolyn Allen’s.

I have just been reading your thread. Your wedding was beautiful. You dress was gorgeous and I love how you had the pink underneath. Brilliant idea.

I have recently joined and I am just overwhelmed with this all, I dont know where to start. Could I just ask some questions if you dont mind.

We have been told for the Escape package we need to spend a number of night at one of the disney hotels. Do you have to be staying at the hotel on the date of your wedding or just as long as you have stayed there for the minimum nights. we are there for two weeks and wanted to spend rest in villas. as we have been told we wont know date until 8 months before, we wont know when to book the disney hotel making sure we are there for wedding day or if we dont need to be there wedding day we can just book the minimum nights for the days required.

If you dont have to be in a disney hotel day of wedding, where was you getting ready?

I also noticed that all your Magic Kingdom pics I could not see anyone else in them like the park was empty. How does that work?

Ive noticed a lot of people have used Randy for their pics. I have been on the website link and I can really see anything on price and how long he is there etc.

Also I think I read you had the Dessert Party. Do you have any pics? How did you get from the cake and champagne reception to your wedding meal to the dessert party. Also how do you go about booking a wedding meal at a resturant.

What were the photos like that you get with the Escape package?

For an escape you do need the four nights. I really not sure when you have to stay at the Disney hotel b/c our stay was over the wedding day. You will really have to talk to your planner about this one.

U would get ready where you are staying. The limo would pick you u there but don’t forget you would have to get back later.

The MK photoshoot is only offered at 5am or 6am (well sometimes it is 5:30) So you are up before the park is open.

I did have a dessert party. I do have pictures Ill get to that part of my trip report soon. I did not have the cake moved to anywhere, we took it back to the room. If we had taken it with us they would have charged a serving fee and that was not worth it. I found a contact information for the restaurant that we had lunch at and e-mailed someone directly. You could do that or book a regular dining reservation but then you have to wait till 90 days out.

What were the photos like that you get with the Escape package?

We did not use the photos with the package b/c we went with Randy. We did get a honeymoon photoshoot instead but I have heard that they are not offering that any more as a substitute.

Yup they have it in Japan still and also at DTD. I also got a pearl and I LOVE mine!! That would be soo great if you dad could get your daughters a pearl as well!!!

Wedding Day:Part 2
While every one was getting their hair and make-up done my mom went down to the BW bakery and got a whole bunch of food. She got way more than me needed but that’s ok! I ate a little and had andrews mom and sisters take some back to their room for andrew.
Next it was my turn to start my hair and make-up. (Well my mom was getting her hair and make-up done while I was) Going into this I really had no idea how I wanted my hair. I had looked at a couple of pictures and had a couple saved on the computer. I either wanted my hair all up with my veil on the bottom but the head piece that I had wouldn’t have worked well with this. The other option I wanted was half up with it all curled with veil and head piece.

SO the whole time that I was sitting in the chair my tummy was doing flip-flops. I think I got up and went the bathroom 3 or 4 times. I think Ana thought that I was throwing up but I wasn’t. She told me a story about a bride that she had that partied too much the night before her wedding that she was sooo sick the day of her wedding. Why would someone want to ruin such a special day??? I just don’t understand.

Wedding Day Part 3:
Next it was time to put my head piece on. Ana didn’t style it into my hair b/c I was still unsure if I wanted to wear it or not, bu the way she had my had it worked so I wore it (Im really glad I did!!) Ana had given me a mirror to see what she was doing and she wasn’t getting the head piece on straight. So my mom and her assistant both helped her.
Not sure about the face but I think it might have been when the headpiece was not straight.

WE said good bye to Ana. I had pre-paid for everything online before I left Portland. Or so I thought. The Carolyn Allens payment never went through. So we had to come up with the cash to pay for my dress and 4 other dresses. All my cash was with Andrew so we had to borrow from my sister. Finally we got it all sorted and said goodbye to the steaming lady. Randy also showed up as everyone was leaving.
Then my flowers showed up!!!
They had me cover my eyes and had my mom give me my flowers.

Wedding Day Part 4:
I don’t think I mentioned this before but when Andrews mom and sisters came over that morning they brought a gift from Andrew. I knew what he was getting me but I had not seen them yet. This instantly solved the what earings to wear question!!

I sent Andrews gift to him when his family left my room. I got him mickey cuff links but don’t you know we didn’t think about this when buying Andrews suit and we didn’t get him a shirt that used cuff link duh…. So they ended up being returned.
In the time before I put on my dress and after the flowers arrived I don’t remember what happened. I think we just sat around and talked. Randy took some pictures with my engagement ring, my shoes, crinnie, garter and Andrews rings. I love how some of these pictures turned out!!

If you can see in this next picture my neck got REALLY sunburned the days leading up to the wedding. It was only the back of the neck that got red so we joked that we had a “redneck” wedding. Being from Texas and all I thought it was pretty funny and im glad I did have a real redneck wedding!!

The we drove uneventfully to the WP. When we got to the WP something was going on (I don’t remember what something wasn’t ready) so we had to wait in the car for a little while. Well during this time I realized that I had forgotten to give the marriage license to Andrew the night before and I had left it in the room that morning. I knew exactly where it was so first they had to get the key from Andrews family and then they sent someone over to the boardwalk and went into the room, and got it out of my bag. Im glad I knew where it was or that could have been bad.

Once we got out side we started taking pictures at picture point. It was really windy as you can see in some of the pictures. One thing that I really wish Randy had done was get a picture with the castle in the back ground with us blurry in the front.
