Hey Nikki! Happy Summer to you too!! Even though I work in Sp. Ed and we don't really get a summer break, the hours are shorter and its a much more relaxed feeling. Enjoy your 2 months of freedom!!:cool1:

Guess what I just did...I put 24 bags of Hershey candy into a huge metal tin to take over to the teachers at DS's middle school. It's a gift from our Parent Group. :goodvibes

I am not a teacher, but my summer holidays begin at 11.30. I have an exam this morning (yes a saturday cause they are evil) and i am so nervous.

Needed a bit of Dis to calm me down.

When do you go back to school!


Our first day back is the day after Labor Day, then the students first day is the day after that. We get three weeks at Christmas, so that makes going so late in June worth it to me.

Thanks - our last day was May 23. I just got back from a WONDERful cruise and 3 days at AKL. My DS10 got a dream from the dream squad - he had a Hidden Mickey book that a CM was chatting with us about and to make a long story short- we ended up with a private tour guide in all of future world at Epcot and we got front of the line access to all rides and got to walk back stage to get to the front of lines, got signed certificates from ride operators and he got the golf ball with the hidden mickey on it from Soarin' after the ride! Now I have to go back to inservice for 3 days starting tomorrow before I can enjoy the rest of my vacation - I didn't want to leave the ship!!!

A very "sweet" gesture (no pun intended!) Seriously, I know the teachers will really appreciate your kindness. They have a very hard, sometimes unappreciated job! ;)
