We always book everything through Virgin when we go to Disney but this year we really feel like you don'y get your moneys worth from them any more!!

We want to do 3 weeks at POP next October, 4 adults and 1 child aged 8, We want the 21 ultimate ticket, Car hire for the 3 weeks but a transfer to the hotel, this would be flying from Manchester. We would prefer to fly direct to Orlando or Sanford.

Any help, tips and ideas for us to get the most out of holiday money wise would be great:)

A lot of people use TCD or First Choice, I don't think you can use TCD for a 3 week trip though. I would try pricing it up with loads of different companies such as Dial A Flight, Expedia etc, to be honest though I've never been able to beat Virgin's price by more than £200 and for that I would rather stay with them and get the luggage allowance and check in at DTD etc.

Happy planning!

flight would have to be scheduled if you want more that 2 weeks
car hire www.usrentacar.co.uk
these are very reasonable for car hire.
21 day ultimates try http://www.floridatix.co.uk/walt-disney-world.asp

might be worth you doing a dummy run now , pricing up everything for this october- it will give you a good idea of how much it will cost and will show you how much you have saved by doing it all yourself!!

I find booking direct with VA to be the best bet at the moment and then booking everything else with the relevant online site etc. As you want to book a WDW resort you can arrange their Magical Express bus from the airport very easily. I find booking a WDW resort through a specialist agent to be very good or you can call WDW in the US yourself, don't use the UK WDW call centre as they can be more expensive and not as flexible once booked if you need to change anything.

we are going October 09 but only for two weeks at Pop Century, we found virgin the best for direct flights (as wouldn't touch TCD again with a barge pole)

we tend to use us rent a car for car hire as they seem to work out cheapest and you can secure the car with a £50 deposit.

Sorry can't help you with the tickets, I am just finding out I have been paying over the odds for years!

We think Virgin are really expensive for a package. I would book flight sseperate and then book hotel direct with Disney also tickest through Disney.
