Lens AF Zoom-Nikkor 28-80mm F/3.5-5.6D
Speed 1/400 for the leaf and 800 for the mantis.

I was playing around with my new D50 and set it to Auto and said lets try it :thumbsup2

Did pretty good for auto the lens I do not like so far it is just not enough one way or the other for me. I have a older 35-70 that to me looks better but we will see.

Thank you ! This was the first shots I have done up close with the new camera and lens.
I'm going to switch back to my 70-210 I think. Guess I'm just used to it more, the 28-80 is ok I cant put by finger on it as to why or what but it just doesn't feel right.

One thing I noticed right off is that even at ISO 800 there wasn't any grainyness to the pics of the mantis that was very cool.

I hope this is not considered hi-jacking the thread but I shot this "morning visitor " yestserday. I posted some of these picks in the weekly assignment thread but I had already technically posted my three pics for the assignment and thought these fit in well here.
