i heard somewhere that they will be taping Mickeys parade on Dec 6th 08. Has anyone heard anything about that? if so please explain. thanks

Seen anything offical on that,I will say if they are you will want to avoid MK that day.It really jams up the normal traffic patterns of MK.Making touring a real mess to to try to see and do the attractions and shows.If you are interested in the taping of pararde you will have agreat time.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes Danny

As Danny says there's nothing official yet...but if you go by previous years it usually takes place the first weekend in Dec which would make it Fri Dec 5th & Sat Dec 6th.

We're going Dec. 6-13 this year and I noticed when they FINALLY posted the hours that MK is open on Dec. 6 until 11 or 12 pm that night and the crowd calendar has the crowds listed at a 7 I think (as opposed to a 3 or 4 for the rest of the week). I was wondering why that was, but if they're doing something special like that parade, that might explain it. That's the day we arrive and we were planning on just going to the MK in the evening without a plan just to walk around and see what we could do (with our kids 8, 6, and 3)...sounds like that will be interesting now! :) It could be like a little sample of the summer months in December ;)

The last two times I have gone at that time of year, they are doing lots of taping in different areas. Lines for rides are usually short because everyone wants to be at the parade or shows in front of the castle. If you check in earlier in week, sometimes you can get included in the taping of the parade. But, I believe they make you get there real early and stay there, but mid-day they swap out the morning guests and bring in differerent parade viewers for the afternoon.

I've gone and watched the performers by the castle, its usually 4 or 5 takes for each song routine being performed over there.

So would the parade/ shows be taped in the morning or afternoon only? I have no desire to stand around and watch a taping, but we were planning on being there in the evening. Would the taping still be siphoning off all the people in the evening, or would the park be extra crowded if the taping is done by then????
