I saw that episode last night. I grew up near Darien Lake, when there was nothing but this man made pond and some summer homes around it. We had friends there and I remember thinking, "man, this is never gonna amount to anything."

Yeah, I hear ya. That coaster did look good. I'd ride it with you, Al. After Crystal Beach went bellys up National Fuel had their annual picnics there and I went a couple of times with my wife and my mom and dad. I think the kids even went once, because I remember winning them a couple of stuffed mooses (meese?moose?mice?) I don't know - those brown cows with big antlers from Canada. Anyway, I had to hit a bullseye with a crossbow - it was cool.

I have been a season pass holder at Darien Lake for a few years and yes the new Orange County MotoCoaster is a fun ride, has a nice accelerated start kind of RnRC except not as intense, but after that it slows down. The best part of it is that you are straddling a motorcycle. It really is a cool feeling.


Wall-E is one of the best Pixar movies in my mind, just behind Toy Story only because I really really really love Toy Story.

Wild Wood Flower grew wild on the farm, but we never knew what it was called, some said it was a flower 'n some said it was a weed, but I never gave it much thought.
One day I was talk'n to my brother an I reached down fer a weed to chew on, then things got fuzzy an things got blurry, then everything was gone ! I don't know what happened but I knew it beat the snot outta sniff'n burlap.
Well when I came to my brother was there an he says, "Whats wrong with yer eyes?." An I said, "I don't know, I was chew'n onna weed", and he said,"Let me give it a try!"
Well we spent the rest of that day an most of that night try'n to find my brother Bill, caught up with him bout six' oclock the next morn'n,,naked,,singing on a windmill. He was bout half crazy, said he flew up there, I had to fly up an get him down.
The every next day we picked a buncha them weeds an we put'em in the sun to dry, an we mashed'em up an we cleaned'em off an put them inna corn cob pipe.
Smoke'n them wild wood flowers got to be quite a habit, well we never seen no harm,,we thought it was kinda handy, take a trip an never leave the farm. Take a couple puffs of that wild wood weed, next thing you know yer just wandering behind the little animals.
Aww, but all good things gott'a come to an end just the same as those wild wood weeds.
One day this feller from Washington come by an spied'em an turned white as a sheet, an they burned an they dug and they dug and they burned, an they killed all our cute little weeds!
We just smiled an waved , sitt'n on that sack a seeds.

Nah, I didn't write it. I googled poems about ignoring. It seems depressing, but it's really about the 5 senses and how they are always trying to satisfy their own needs and not paying attention to the body in which they are connected. That's my take on it anyway.
