when you are trying to use Adventures by Disney. DH and I would love to eventually go on the African Safari but we will have 2 contracts since we purchased a resale with a different UY. We will have 300 pts AKV with a June UY and 150 pts VWL with an Aug UY. Would we be able to have enough pts in 2.5 yrs to actually take the safari, or can we not combine them?

Hi Shorty!

You'd have to transfer points from one contract to another. This can be done but there are a few limitations to consider in what you're trying to do:


Banked/borrowed points can't be transferred.
One transfer per member (or membership) per UY.
Transferred vacation points maintain their UY (and will expire accordingly).


You need 986 points for 2 people on the safari during the January - March season.

What might work: First year, bank 300 AKV points. Don't bank your VWL points. The next year, you could borrow 300 AKV points, and also transfer 86 points from VWL to your AKV contract. (giving you 300 + 300 +300 + 86 = 986 points).
