Dollar Stores

Are there any dollar stores near Disney (dollar tree, Deals or 1$ shops)? We have a car and love to stop for little trinkets, pool stuff, etc....

Not sure about that, but if you are looking for bargains and have a car, you might consider visiting one of the Character Warehouse outlets. We went to one at the Belz outlet just outside WDW and found some great deals. They have tons of park merchandise, but for a lot less than what you would pay for it inside WDW. For example, the mouse ears, which cost $6.00 in the park, were $3.00 there, identical to the ones we had just bought. They have a lot of t-shirts, clothing, souvineers, anything you can think of. I also bought a photo frame for like $3 and a leather MGM jacket for $100, half of the original sticker. If you're looking to venture out, it is definitely worth a stop.

I knew about Character Warehouse, we usually stock up on things for family and Christmas. Thanks, it is a great place for bargains. What I'm interested in are the everything is a dollar type stores. They used to have a couple in Belz, but during our last trip ('99) they were not there any more.

There are a few on the way to Walmart on Irlo Bronson Drive (I think that is the street name). The difference is that they are $1.99 instead of .99. Some sell the same kind of things as the .99 stores but we went in one that looked like a junk store and they must not sell much because everything was really dusty.
I think there is a Dollar Tree at the shopping center area right before Belz. I assume it would be just like all the other Dollar Trees--I didn't go there.
