We are a large family of 6 & it seems to me that w the room size @ the allstar being so little that we may be better off going to the HI Suites & saving loads of money but my friends tell me that once you stay on you never want to go off property. For 6 nites & a 4day pass it will be about $2000- It seems it would be much cheaper @ HI Suites @ $69.- per nite plus our passes. Am I doing the right thing by spending all this extra money?

Hello Lowe6- With 6 people you would need to get 2 rooms at the allstars. Disney only allows a max. of 4 per room. We stayed at HIFS last year because of the same reason (6 of us). I don't think anyone has seen such a good rate as you say you're getting. Please post how you did it, it would be most appreciated. It seems that once you stay at HIFS, you have a hard time going back to disney onsite. If you do stay there you'll see why. Good luck with your vacation.

Can you PLEASE tell us how on earth you got a rate of $69 @ HIFS? We are taking our first Disney vacation (next year) and have already made up our minds that we will be staying at the HIFS in a Kidsuite? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I would also like to know how you got a rate of $69. We are booked for October with a Kidsuite and paying $119.00, with a code from mousesavers.

Their online rate for Sept. was $69.00 per nite. As for the All Stars that price is for 2 rooms because we can't fit 6 in a 4 person room. Also chk for what's called the bogo offer (buy one get one free). We did that last Dec. & stayed at the HI SUITES it was great we only paid $389.00 for 6 nites. I was just curious from other people as to weather the All Star Movies are worth all the extra moneyin comparison with the HI Suites. Thanks !!!

How did you find out about the BOGO offer...online? Through HIFS?

You have to request it or they may post it on their main website. They only offer it at down times or value times. Not usually during the summer.

As far as HIFS vs Allstars.....
This past Feb, we stayed at HIFS, and our friends stayed at Allstars. We both have families of 5. (They snuck the 3rd child in, and used a rollup mat for her to sleep on). We each checked out each others hotels. Although I thought Allstars was nice, and the outdoor theaming was Excellent. The interiors of the room were dissappointing. When our friends visited us at HIFS, they said they wished they had booked there instead. We had a great rate, used the BOGO offer, and ended up paying $74/night. So for the money it was worth the stay at HIFS. We had a rental car, so Disney transportation wasnt a perk for us. The free breakfast at HIFS saved us at least $20/day.
I would love to stay onsite some day, but I would like to do that when we can stay at a monorail resort.
