Hi everybody! We have been DVC members for about 5 years now. We head down every January....

Do any of you have pointers on where to find DVC clothing? We have checked out all the resorts and stuff, and there is such a limited supply available. I've done the eBay thing, but not sure if that's the best way.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

J.P.

First off Welcome to the boards. Glad to have your on board. DH and I usually shop for DVC items at SSR or OKW. That seems to be the best places to find the greatest variety of items. We also noticed that as new clothing items come for DVC in general they go pretty fast. Such as jackets, t-shirts, and nice dress shirts. So my HUGE advice is if you see it and like it buy it then. DONT WAIT.

I've found the biggest selection at OKW's gift shop, then at SSR's. However, I've found items at the BCV's and VWL's gift shops that haven't appeared at either OKW or SSR. You kind of have to shop as many as you can get to, but I would recommend starting at OKW, then boat over to SSR.

When we asked a few years ago, they told me that OKW would have the largest selection. When we went there, I didn't find anything I wanted. But when we went back to BCV, we found a few things. It's strange that they don't all carry the same thing. I did also notice that VWL has some things that are DVC, but not a large selection. I guess each resort has something that is more representative of the resort. BWV and AKV also have some selection, but again, not too many.

I agree with the other posters, you would have to look at different resorts to see what each would have.

Go to the Disney Character Premiere outlet store. It is in the Orlando Premium Outlet complex on Vineland Road. Go out Hotel Plaza Blvd to 535, make a right, under 4, then first left at the Golden Corral onto Vineland.

Those blue DVC beach towels - we got them for $8. DVC polo/T-shirts/golf shirts, caps, etc. They generally have it all, but obviously no guarantees what they have at any particular time.

Awesome we are headed down June 26 and we will definitely head there and see what they got

I agree to buy when you see something you like. A few years back, I purchased polo shirts for my husbands and sons with a BCV logo on them. Haven't seen them again as most shirts say DVC...which is fine but it's also nice to have your home resort on articles.

If you are staying in the area more than a week, go back more than once. The inventory changes every couple days.

Most of it is out of date and not that great and either waaaaay too big or waaaay too small -- looking for something in XXXL from Grad Night '07? This is your place! -- but every now and then you find neat nuggets that are worthwhile. :)

I am amazed that DVC merchandise is so hard to come by. Disney never seems to be short on supply with anything... we always find plenty to spend our money on! I hope they have a nice selection during our November tirp. I would really love to treat myself to some DVC stuff!

I would say DVC merchandise is very limited. Has anyone else noticed the prices seem to be a bit higher than the Disney general merchandise. For instance, a general Disney polo shirt would cost $36 whereas a DVC polo costs $46? Just something I think I've noticed.

And the thing is - they would get so much in advertising that they should be giving stuff away!!! I picked up a DVC 6 pack cooler that I take to work everyday for lunch. I also have a DVC gym bag that I take to work out. I really use my DVC stuff.

Several years ago, I picked up a white DVC jacket at Vero Beach on sale. I was thrilled to get it. Lady at the store said they weren't selling very well and were being discontinued. Perhaps low sales is why we don't get much variety in the merchandise? :confused3
