Both my wife and I filled up our vehicles on Tuesday. Her bill was $68 for a mid-size SUV, and my bill for a Toyota Corolla was $51! $119 for gas in one day!!!! So, what did you pay??

If my tank was empty it would cost me about $60 to fill up my Subaru Forester

I have a Windstar and it was $58.00 and I stopped it because I was paying cash and that's all I had.
The business truck which is a box truck, I stopped it at $110.00 the other day, paying cash again, but it only got to 3/4 full. I could have easily put $125.00+ in that! UGH!
I remember when we got that truck 6 years ago and we could fill it up for less than $75.00. Ahhhh..those were the days!

I put $35.00 ($3.88/gallon) of gas into my 2006 Envoy Denali yesterday and it barely hit 1/2 tank - after driving back and forth one day to work and doing one errand last night it now has a little over 1/4 tank. :(

Sticker shock last Friday when I filled my Toyota Corolla.

Just 8.5 gallons was about $33! First time it cost more than $30 to fill the tank! I fill it about every two weeks--14 to 15 days, depending on use. I average about 34 mpg--mostly city driving, with a short little stretch of freeway on weekdays.

I also have a Windstar and it's running me about $75.00 when I'm on empteeee (which is a lot lately). My daughter and I were getting gas the other day and my daughter asked me to guess how much it was going to be. I said $78.00 and it came to $78.01! When the attendant came over (we live in Jersey, so it's always full serve here), she topped it off to, get this, $82.00, $4.00 more!!! I was so angry I actually reprimanded her! I asked her if she owned the gas station, to which she replied, "no." I told her never to do that again and asked her if $78.00 wasn't already enough! :furious:

Haven't filled my tank since gas went over $3.00.
I mainly drive a Honda Civic and stop when it hits $30.00. Somehow it makes it seem less painful. :)

Well, I can't even fill up my gas tank. The gas stations have a $75.00 cut off at the pumps, so I can onlt get 3/4 a tank most of the time. So... I have no idea how much it would be to "fill" up, because I can't!:confused3

$123 to fill the conversion van last week. Yikes. And we're going to tow the camper this summer and I'm truly frightened about the cost of gas for that trip.

Hubby took the grand am to virginia this week instead of his mountaineer. He said it will save us about $250 a month.

$75 to fill up DW's Avalanche the other day(at 3.39 a gallon thanks to Weis Market shopping/discount program). Thank goodness I do my monster commute in the family Civic. Can't recall what that's costing these days.

My husband and I went on Sunday to fill up. I was at a little more than a 1/4 of a tank and he was at 1/4 of a tank. For me I drive a Ford Explorer and it was $57.00 and he has a Ford F150 and it was $61.00. This was at 3.85 a gallon.

When we drive the Suburban it is about $130.00 when it is on empty. I am driving it less now and even the Mailbu takes about $55.00 to fill (only 14 gallons compared to 33 in the suburban) gas in the western suburbs of Chicago is about $4.09.

I own a 05 Kia Sorento and after fearing I would run out of gas since the gas light had been on for 3 days in a heat wave (gas evaporates), I pulled into the gas station seeing my stimulus check was in my account and decided to fill up. Haven't done that in a while, $30 here and there. When it stopped it was at $72.51:faint: . I wrote down my mileage and I'm keeping a log on where I go. I am going to let that last for at least 3 weeks.

Just imagine, I'm about to drive to WDW in a few weeks.

Theoretically, it would cost about $60 to fill my 15-gal tank and about $40 to fill DH's 10-gallon tank. But what are you going to do? You need gas where we live, so that's that. You just pay it and try not to be too wasteful (something I have always been taught to do, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG before prices started going up.

It's running around $45 to fill up my CR-V.

DH has a job offer we're seriously considering in Spokane, but the cost of moving our stuff out there is :scared1:. We were getting prices from Uhaul, and their truck only gets 7 MPG--and the trip is close to 2,500 miles :scared1:

Needless to say, if we do go we'll be paring down our possessions considerably.

$80 for our old Ford Aerostar:scared1: ... it now stays on or close to empty! $20 for our 4 cylinder car and that moved the needle from E to 1/4. Thankfully we get 30-35 mpg. Needless to say, we aren't driving too far these days:worried:

It cost $192 to fill up my Ford Excursion. I can go 3 weeks between visit to the gas station. It uses Diseal and it was $4.70 a gallon. But as my dh said " Its alot cheaper to fill up a paid for Ford, than it is to fill up a fianced Toyota." Meaning we know alot of people that are replacing their cars to get better gas mileage, but they are fiancing them for 5 to 7 yrs. Do the math. Its going to take along time before that better gas mileage is going to be worth all those monthly payments with interest, plus collision insurance.
And, they are still having to pay $4 plus a gallon for gas.

You guys should try living in the UK $11ish a gallon. $116 to fill up a normal sized car, looking forward to having a hols in the US and getting cheap fuel even though you say yours is going up in price and getting expensive. + even more for diesel.

It cost me right around $40 to fill mine up at Costco the other day, at $4.09 a gallon (twenty cents below everyone else in town). I have a dinky little Kia Spectra. I've always been a fill-'er-up kinda gal, never one to put a little here and a little there in the tank if I could help it, but I don't even fill my van anymore. I can't stand the pain. I give my daughter $20 at a time to put in it when we need the space of the van for some reason (otherwise she drives my husband's Saturn) and then don't look at how little the gas gauge moves.

$108 to fill my Ford Expedition. I have cut down on small errands so I try to only fill once every other Thursday (DH's payday). Last week, I needed to put $5 in to get down to NH to get cheaper gas (lower gas tax than Maine).

I also carpool with a girlfriend for our shopping, so only one of us has to drive down every other week.

I've been filling up my tank when it gets to half full because I read you get better mileage with the first half of the tank vs. the last half (having to do with air in the tank...not sure if it's true but it's working for me). I spent $25 at $4.07 a gallon and it lasts me 6 days. I'll be driving 20 miles a day less once summer school is over next week so it should last even longer. I'm so glad that DS will be taking an online class at home for his 2nd summer school class. I have a 2000 Saturn sedan.

$44 for my new Ford Escape. I had a .07 off coupon per gallon but bought a .99 fountain drink so I think it was a wash. I am driving a little more with the kids in summer day camp so that might only last two weeks. Usually I get three or four weeks out of it.

I was just thinking the same thing today. We're staying home and not running to the mall to "just look" - yeh right, like that ever happens. We're eating at home all the time now instead of running out to grab a bite. I really do think in the long run our family is saving money BECAUSE of the high gas prices.

On Sunday it was $42 to fill my '98 Saturn SL2. When I bought it, it cost $15 to fill, and that was if I rolled to the pump on fumes...

Still, I can't complain, I get close to 30 MPG highway and we drive it 95% on the highway so it could be a lot worse!

I have a 2004 Corolla. Last time I filled it up was two weeks ago, Saturday (which is surprising, I usually have to fill-up every weekend). I was running on fumes and it cost me exactly $50. *Sigh* I remember when I first got my car -- it cost me $17 to fill 'er up. :faint:

An extra $1 per gallon today :scared1:

$4.299 isn't so bad I guess. At the marina where I work part time the gas is $4.819 for premium plus. People sure aren't going out in their boats like they did last summer.

My full time job is at a campground. I think we'll be much slower this summer as well due to high fuel prices.
