Or do I have to go the the other side of the campground? Just wondering.
Erica and I talked about it this week while sitting around the campfire drinking ANFABS, and decided that we are definitely going sometime in Oct 09! :cool1:

Two words - Satellite Radio. It's my version of the American Express card, I don't leave home without it. My 6 year old is always saying "what's on tonight, football, baseball, hockey..." He really doesn't like it when we say "no sports tonight" :scared1:
We will be there the week of Columbus Day, the kids have a 3 day school break at the end of the week.

Sadly, I have never attended either a college or pro football game. It's on my to-do list, but the Vi-queens just don't do anything for me so it hasn't been a priority, other than to see them lose. Any and all sporting events we've attended seriously dropped after we adopted the boys 2 years ago, we're just now starting again. I did make DH get the sports package on the satellite dish for me so I could watch college football and hockey, though, so between that and the radio, I get my fix in when I can ::yes::

I know I'll be there November 28th - December 12th 2009, but not sure what the T@B folks are planning yet.

I agree. I've been to more NFL and major college games than I can remember -- they are a religious experience, especially with the communion beer on Sundays! Wildfan, I assume you're a hockey fan (go figure) we also go to several Sabres games every year and were at the Winter Classic on New Year's Day between the Sabres and Pens. Awesome game. Because of F&WF, a lot of places have multiple selections in their kiosks, and there are extra countries to deal with, so I am probably going to limit myself to one at each place, and then I am probably going to have an issue getting myself home. If we get to Germany and stop in the Biergarten to eat, it's all over.

For us, it's up in the air. We may expand it to earlier in the week. Have to see how the vacation time is holding out and how much time off I take for my big T@B trip to Illinois in July. But with Halloween on a Saturday, I didn't want to rush home on Sunday, so for right now, we've opted for a long weekend over Halloween.

Well, I have Halloween booked for '09, but their was a horse show at the Florida State fair grounds this year during that same time and if they run it the same time again next year I won't be able to keep them cause' of course we have to use the pick up truck to haul the gooseneck to haul the horses. Darn, I think it's because of this Harvest Days horse show that I have never ever made it to Halloween at Disney.

We'll be there 2 weeks before Halloween, the weekend of Oct 16th thru the 18th. Going to be getting a cabin, since we'll have our little family and then some of our crazy friends and family, going to be a crowded bunch ;)
We were there for this past Halloween, we stayed on the Big Bear path, right across from the comfort station, had the Halloween decoration that sang "I've got you babe" from Sonny and Cher. Was a great time, got to see the golf cart parade and all. Going to be a lot more packed this year with Halloween falling right on a Saturday (at least with Friday, not as many people make the trip), so we decided we would make the trip with a little less people and during a more off time. Didn't want to bring the camper this time, since we won't be spending much time at the Fort.
You guys should have a blast at Halloween, it really is a great time. It was decorated a lot more than I remember it ever beeing (although I hadn't seen it at Halloween in years, mainly as a kid). Also, they have a lot more activities (spread out across multiple days, so even those of you that are there Thur/Fri get some activities) than I ever would have thought. From the golf cart parade, to scavenger hunts, to pumpking carving contests.
Oh, one quick little story from last Halloween. One site was really decorated to all get out, lots of decorations, couldn't believe how many they had actually, must have taken a bunch of time. Well, they have a contest that determines who wins "Scariest Site" (whatever it's called). Well, this site didn't win, and they were not happy, and were literally screaming at the judges in front of everyone on Big Bear Path. They were upset that they though theirs was more family friends, and that the other ones were more scary and not in the theme of Disney. Caused a huge ruckus, I felt pretty bad for the people next door to them (who I believe won 3rd place). Sometimes people get REALLY into these contests, just a FYI ;)

Sure, have a party the day after I leave.
I'm not going to make the obvious comment here.

We will be there the last week of October... unfortunately, we have already had to drop one of the parks (AK) for money reasons..... our water heater has decided to die.... perfect timing. We went with a tankless... got a really good deal on it, however, electrician says we have to modify our breaker amps? and more wiring to accomodate it....chi ching...$$$$$ We're still taking cold showers until we have him back out finish installation. ugh.... had plumber come out yesterday.... thought that was bad. Going tankless may have not been the cost savings we anticipated.... oh well. We're still going to WDW... atleast.... we're hoping.
Its not cheap to go from tank to tankless but your elec. bill should go down some.

Not to mention the fact you won't run out of hot water when some kid takes a 40 minute steaming hot shower.

In the case of my son, sitting in the tub with the hot shower running, sound asleep, until the hot water runs out and turns cold and wakes him up!!!

We are finding this out the hard way. We found such a great deal on the tankless, we had no idea the problems we would now be facing. I can't wait to get to FW so I can have a hot shower
I think my DH has considered doing it himself versus paying a professional... but secretly I think he knows that is crazy.
I'm hoping we'll get it all worked out soon.

29 days - 29 days! I officially can not think about anything else.
We are only part of the grand gathering for our first night - then unofficial members for the following 2 weeks - I'm looking forward to meeting everyone! Have any group activities like a DATW or group trick or treat been decided upon?

Have fun:thumbsup2
