Virgin Car hire and Dollar Express

Does anyone know if you can use the Dollar Express card through Virgin Holidays? Last time I had booked with Virgin, I tried to go to the 'normal' Dollar desk, but they pointed me in the direction of the Virgin Dollar desk. All there was there was the normal queue and the FVC queue:(

I'm trying to work out the best way to pick up 2 cars at different desks DS & GF are coming but want their own car. DS is 24 so the Virign Dollar Premium insurance worked out best in his circumstances. Booking is in my name so I will need to go to the Dollar desk. DH & myself have a booking with Alamo so I then need to hot foot it to the Alamo desk. I could get DH to go to Alamo, but he will need my licence which will be with me at the Dollar desk!!!!:confused3

After immigration, I was thinking of leaving DH & DS to get the bags while I pick up the car at Dollar. Although will they let me through Customs with no bag and no white card thingy that you hand it. It woulld have been OK if it was the double bag drop, but as you don't have to do this now, it will be straight through after Customs.:confused3

you can use your dollar express card with any travel company as long as you have booked a dollar hire car.
you will be fine going and picking up the car yourself, as we have done this- i stayed with the bags while dh went of r the car.

When you have collected your luggage, you need to go to the VIRGIN car hire desk (opposite the Dollar desk) Here there is a small information desk, where the queue forms for the normal car rental desk. DO NOT WAIT IN THE QUEUE. Go to the information desk and show your Dollar Express card and booking form. They will then put you in FRONT of the queue ready for the next available assistant. :thumbsup2

Seen a couple of posts recently where they were told to stand in line because the line was not long enough to use the card. Maybe it depends which member of staff you get, not fair if you have gone to the trouble of registering.
