redeeming mypoints point

my bzz agent points were transferred over to the My Points website. I now have 7500 points. I don't know what to redeem them for, or whether to hold onto them.

How often do new redemption opportunities come up? or is it the same old places each time? if I redeem my points, how long do you think it would take to earn enough points to redeem again?

I have redeemed points at MyPoint quite a few times. It has always pretty much been the same places. I always do Home Depot or Target. It may change next time depending on what I need.

I get alot of points as I order all our office supplies from Office Depot, so they accumulate nicely. I order all different cards. Lots of Target (but those cost more points). I also do Kohls, Sears, Macy's - now I am putting them away for School shopping. I also like to do Red Lobster/Olive Garden as we go there alot and the G/C helps. So many choices. I do wish they had Disney Gift Cards.

I usually reedem once a year and that is for our vacations. I redeemed a month ago for 50 shell gift cards and 2 restaurant cards. I will not reedeem again until next year for our 2009 Disney. We will probably do the Rainforest Cafe gift card and definetely Gas Cards again. Between emails and BzzAgent they add up quickly!

I always redeem for restaurant gift cards...normally Chilis or Olive Garden. Since I have slashed our dining out budget to nearly nothing, this really helps give us a treat a couple of times a year.

Right now, however, I am saving my points and will redeem for Rainforest Cafe gift cards so I can use them on my May 2009 trip.

I save up for Hilton Points. Between e-rewards and mypoints it took me a year to get a free night at the Hilton in downtown disney (40,000 and extra magic hours). You could also use Hilton points at the doubletree in downtown disney - it's only 35,000 points, but no EMH.

I also finally had enough with Bzz Agent points. I got an Old Navy GC. I love their clothes for both me and DS. Our wardrobes are heavy on the Old Navy label lol

I am going to redeem my points for either Walmart or Target gift cards to buy luggage for our October trip.

Hilton is no longer participating in MyPoints. They cut off in late March :(
