To all my swaps Mine were going postal today along with a truck load of other boxes. However, i am going to be late. I know shocking, huh!..lol.. I really do have a good reason and I was almost on time to begin with :(

Specifically: Color Swap participants /Quote/Completed Pages /Package to Michellepooh & Mar (circle journal) I told you a truck load. I probably won't mail until Friday.

DH and I were on our way to work this morning. The highway is 6 lanes and the area we were in has a speed limit of 45. As we approached the intersection, the traffic light is green we had to stop for an ambulance. The car behind us stopped, however the lady in the third car did not stop and rammed the lady who in turn wanted to play tag with my Durango. Which we were hit so hard we didn't even know there was a third car until the police officer was talking to us.

One interesting tidbit about it all. The Ambulance we stopped for actually called 911 before we did! Noone was injured per say. We are both super sore and have headaches. DH is taking the car to our mechanics/shop to have it checked over. We will be going to the doctor as well. Just wanted to touch base and let you all know.

Guess i have a new page to scrapbook in my 2008 book..

Make sure the doctor checks you both out and if you are still sore in a few days, go back!

When you stop in traffic please remember to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you. An easy way to do this ~ when looking at the vehicle in front of you, you should be able to see where the rear tires meet the road surface.

In a scenario like Kat's, the driver caught in the middle is responsible for hitting Kat, not the driver that started the chain reaction.

Thanks everyone! I'm really stiff and sore this evening so i can only imagine what tomorrow is going to be like. My head feels really woozie it's hard to describe exactly. Just fuzzy. The claims adjuster is supposed to call us tomorrow so we can get into the chiropractor. I did find out the driver who hit us all was going 35 at impact.

:scared1: you poor thing! A truck went into the bacl of MIL's car once when she was on a roundabout (lucky the dog wasn't hurt, as he was in the back) and she had whiplash and to this day has problems with her head and neck - so make sure you get every test and treatment going, as its better treated before it "sets" (IYSWIM). You'll probably need something with codeine in it as that brings down swelling as well as relieving pain.

My postman will be relieved anyway;)

 to get better and NO, this is not an adequate excuse to go back to smoking:rolleyes1

Kat, so sorry about your accident, hope your feeling better!

I sent you a PM concerning the swap package before I checked here, so disregard that.

Take care of yourselves, whiplash is no fun. I was hit back in 1994 and still have problems with my neck and back.

sending you

Well I went to the Doctor finally yesterday. I what he called a "severe" curve in my neck from the accident along with the whiplash. He used some other words and such but I have no idea what. I'm going to write it down when I go back in on Monday. I got a fancy pillow to help me lay down comfortably too.

My upper back is also way messed up too*sigh* he showed me all the x-rays and I can now say I'm crooked!;) I began treatment yesterday and oh muhhh gosh did it ever hurt. I'm limited on the movements in my upper areas.

I will have everything postal by monday at the latest. It's just gonna take a couple trips into the PO but Raine is going to help. DH isn't as bad but I told him he isn't as squisy as I am:lmao:

My car goes in on Tuesday to get all fixed up and the insurance guy wants to talk to me about my injury but the doc said not to say any more than I hurt my neck and back. I have no idea why.:confused3

I want to express my deepest appreciation to you all for your patience on my swap items I know I'm always late but this time it was out of my control.

To those waiting to recieve thier color swap back It was never my intention to hold it this long and I wont be able to hold the surprise swap but maybe a week after the due date because my son is coming just in time for my birthday!!!

Thank you all for the well wishes, you all have been so wonderful and I am truelly blessed to have such wonderful and amazing friends.

Hope, right now I am missing you more than ever.

Kat the Dr doesn't want you talking to the insurance because they will try to talk you and DH into settling, which will keep you from coming back to them for any long term problems. If you wind up with a long term illness as a result you need to consider a personal injury lawyer. Not mind you I am not a sue you kind of person but with DH's injury it has drastically affected our daily lives. He can't do yard work, he can't sit or stand for long periods. Eventually he will need surgery but he can't not work. We need the money.

Anyway it's something to think about in terms of not saying anything. Is their insurance Co getting you a rental? We had to force them into it but we needed one for 2 weeks.

I'm sorry you got hurt so bad. It just sucks! How has your mood been? I noticed my fuse was about cut off after our wreck. My chiropractor was the only person who asked me how I was doing emotionally. It was the sweetest thing that he asked. I love my chiro! Are you seeing one, or are you doing physical therapy?

Yes the insurance company is getting us a rental they have one on site. the dude said I could have anything I wanted I said I wanted a Jag.. what do you know they don't have any..lol..

My emotions are ok i think. I haven't noticed anything different and noone has said anything.
