My wife and I are planning on taking advantage of a business trip that I have on WDW property in late October. This will be our first trip without kids.

We have been doing research to determine the best way (cheapest) to stay at the deluxe resort of our choice. We are pretty certain that we want to stay in one of the Epcot resorts, Yacht/Beach Club or Boardwalk.

When should we begin diligently searching for codes or discounted rates? Is there a way to lock great rates in this far in advance?

We will be planning on staying October 30 - November 3.

Thanks for any help you can give us.

First, I would book your room now at whatever rate you can get.
Then when the codes come out, probably by June, call CRO and rebook at the cheaper rate.

Other methods to try now are DC or AMEX rates. AP rates should also be available soon too. I was quoted $224 with tax for a Std room at the BC in Sept using AP.

Good luck.

jlm1006,

I think booking a room at any WDW resort is similar to booking a hotel room. Since I am also going in late October, I wish we could secure a fabulous rate NOW!! But I guess we just have to sit and wait until the good codes are made available.

I booked mine in early March using DC membership. I joined the club just to save me $200 on the trip, which is 15% off on hotel and $75 for booking the package. I have also been informed that people often rebook their trip when discount is available and CRO can transfer the deposit without any problem.

Good luck.:D
