Pete suggested this one and who am I to argue?
This is a thread to discuss the otters (drunken or otherwise), peacocks, gators and all other FW wildlife who like to party.
We otter get a thread for this, and now we do!!

All the peacocks have been diverted to the Community Board/pool hopping thread. I commanded the otters to spread the word to the peacocks so they won't bother the camping sub-forum. Peacocks are not too bright.

Most people think scorpions only inhabit desert regions -- that's not true. They're all over -- they just are more prevalent in hot dry areas.

OK. I'll try. Last year my sister (DES1954) spotted, or more accurately CLAIMED, she saw some otters at Fort Wilderness. She started a thread about it and pretty soon, the thread got WAY out of hand. All sorts of posts like We otter get out of here, OR, It's otter control, etc, etc.
Of course Rhonda aka ROZ, closed it down, but the damage was done. We've kind of adopted the otters and they are involved in all sorts of hi-jinks. Hope that explains it.
PS -- kind of the same thing with the peacocks, but Rhonda started that one.

Edit to add..... When Al's at FtW, he's usually mooching off of ME. So if you send otters to raid his cooler at FtW, they are actually raiding MY cooler! No raiding otters necessary when Al's around. They'd just be stealing from you or me. I'll gladly share my brewski with ya, Pete.
