View Full Version : Is it cool / Introducing Myself!

Hey all! :wave2:
I'm sure this is a dumb question, BUT..... I've been lurking on this board for a while, think I've posted replies on a thread or two... but I'm not gay... is that OK? I just really like the connection you guys have with one another, over on the family board its just not there as much. So..... is it cool? I didn't want to just join the board, start chatting with people, and have people assume I was gay when I'm not - don't want to mis-represent myself to anyone.

Yes, as the others have said...all are welcome. Tell us about yourself..Have you posted yet in the introduce yourself thread? It's a good place to read a little about the rest of us and let us get to know you.
Now, did everyone notice how civil and polite I was?
As Aunt Em said "(s)he's really quite gentle, with gentle people that is....):thumbsup2

BTW...Is the Aviator picture one of your kids? She's soooo adorable. My girls are in their twenties and I love them to death but I miss them being little.

I'm posting my introduction here! :cool1:
My name is Sarah, I'm 25.... ok really 27.... I live on the Jersey Shore, I'm married to a pharmacist (if you know anyone in jail, he fills their scripts!), and we have two beautiful girls - my avitar is my youngest, Sophie who is now 20 months. My oldest is Emily, and she is just over three.
I have an event planning company. People always think I'm just into parties, and its just a "fun" job, but its a really serious and entailed job. Today, for example, I had to file a law suit against my most recient client because they decied not to pay almost half of the remaining bill!! :furious: Its funny, because when I was at the party with them, and they had their family around them, they were really confident, and totally refused to pay me. Now yesterday, I leave them a message telling them that I will be suing them, they will be getting the paperwork very soon, and if they don't show at the court house, they will be arrested..... they called me back today with a total additude changed! Anyway.... I live really close to Asbury Park, NJ which has a very large gay population. Most of it is a really poor town, but its coming up, and as a lot of great restaurants and clubs now.
Well... thats about it..... anyone have any questions??

Yeah, we will be going from Dec 9th to Dec 16th and are staying at POFQ... though I'd give anything to stay in the Boardwalk. I can't wait to go with them - last time we were there was for our honeymoon (actually durring gay days) 5 years ago - just the two of us of course. My youngest (in the avitar) SCREAMS "Mickey Mouse" every time she sees him either on TV or while I'm scrolling around on the Disboards. We are doing our ADRs this Friday - I can't wait, though DH is screwing me up because he wants to do even MORE than I have!!!
Anyone else going in December?

We'll be there in December (sometime around my birthday - Dec 15th). But we'll also be there in July, August, September, October, and hopefully November. :cool1:
We (JaxPiper) and I are straight, and we've met a few of the folks on this board. They are great and totally welcoming. See the GayDays 2008 Photo thread. :)

We live in Jacksonville. It's a little over 2 hours door to door from our house, so it's not too bad. We either come down on a Friday evening or Saturday morning and stay through Sunday, although we have been known to make a quick day trip now and then just to get in a fix. We love it there (especially Epcot) and the kids really enjoy it. We have annual passes, so the only thing that we pay for is gas and food (and a hotel room if we stay the night). It's a lot of fun, and it gives us a mini-vacation once a month or so to help us de-stress. We are headed to the mountains in NC tomorrow and will be gone for 10 days. That's our "real" vacation.

We will accept applications for house boys, but only if you cook, clean, and babysit.
I cannot help you with the sugar daddy thing though.

Just wanted to say hey! I wish we would be there in Dec! However, we were there in Feb, last week and will be there in Oct. Not again til Jan! :(
Anyway, I am another straight person hanging out in gaydom. Love it! :)
We didn't get to meet most of the ppl at Gay Days... well because they were all ummmm..... "visiting" at PI. I had my kiddies with me! We did get to meet Mike! Julia is still taking about him and Cassandra. I think they are currently her 2 favorite people! :)

Well now, I don't know. I was kind of hoping for an Agador Sparticus. I'm blonde, and I don't know if JaxPiper could take having another one in the house.
You never answered whether you cook, clean, and babysit.

Having kids turned mine a little darker too. Peroxide turned it back. I love my kids, but peroxide is my friend. And Conck is right. I'd be tough competition. :) I'd say we could be in cahoots, but I don't know if I can trust you. How do I know you won't start treating me like you treat Rosie? Cause then I'd have to get mean.:furious:
